So this is Rodriguez vs. Pérez II, but you could've posted the first one and it would've been the same exact tale: competitive fight, but clear for Rodriguez...except for a Mexican judge, on both occasions, marching to his own drumbeat and finding it a draw for Pérez. :roll: Because of that, both went down as Majority Decisions for Rodriguez - first in Pérez's backyard in Mexico, and then in her own in Chile.


Pérez is the goods, though, in spite of the overly generous scorecards from her countrymen. She has kind of an Orlando Salido vibe going on, with the fearlessness and forward-leaning, body shot and overhand right heavy attack, plus her penchant for pushing the limits of what's considered "dirty".

She makes for not one but two very nice feathers in Rodriguez's bombín.

Yeah, good call. Rodriguez engaged more with Pérez than Garcia did with Salido (albeit sloppily at times) and showed the ability to switch-hit better than we've seen the once frequently southpaw turning Garcia do in years. :deal

Shame, it was a good fight. I caught the 2nd half of it on the Sturm vs. Stieglitz undercard (so I can't really comment on the scoring being controversial)
