^ This website did a pretty good year's-end roundup and 2014 Awards in several categories, and looks to be a great resource on women's boxing in general.

They have Delfine Persoon as their worldwide F'erOTY (also Fighter of the Month twice, in January and December), and broke down the runners-up by region: Braekhus as the European F'erOTY (even though Persoon is obviously European herself; in this case it means something akin to a European title being subordinate to a world title), and Nava tied with Ana Laura Esteche for the Latin American F'erOTY. They also had Claressa Shields tied with Katie Taylor as the amateur co-F'erOTY.

They credited Anne Sophie Mathis with Knockout of the Year (along with a couple by Hanna Gabriel and Kali Reis, and called the original Hammer DQ Mathis result the Robbery of the Year.


I agree with pretty much all their decisions. :good

You said you liked Jen Esposito. Bosques is looks-wise kind of like a low-rent cross between Esposito and prime Lisa Marie Presley, if you're into that sort of lantern-jawed but still feminine thing on a girl.

As for her boxing prowess, she does seem to have the goods to go along with her apparent splashy personality. 8-1-2, and fought six times last year to maneuver her way up the rankings in the relatively hot bantamweight division (poised to maybe contend in 2015) with her only defeat coming to Kenia Enriquez, the WBAN 2014 Prospect of the Year.
