The fight showed that Kovalev is far too slow to avoid or counter Stevenson's dynamite left hand. Stevenson has perfected the art of creating openings for his left, and once he drops it flush, the show is closed.
Ward may stand a chance against Stevenson by neutralizing the left, but Ward's preferred punch is the left hook that leaves Ward open for a Stevenson counter left.
Will Kovalev Vs Stevenson be a puncher against puncher, or will Stevenson's left force Kovalev into defence to become the boxer?
Either way, Kovalev is too slow and open to avoid Stevenson lefts and I don't believe Lovalev's chin can with stand Stevenson's bombs.

James Degale said in a recent interview that Stevenson is considering going back down to 168 and that may be a fight for the winner of Jack-Degale

The thing about Stevenson besides his power, is how unpredictable he is. Like him or hate him, the way he sets up the left by going to the body first, that's one of the best combinations you can have in boxing and it'll take you far. He may not look as refined as Kov or Ward, but that body/head combo can get anyone.
