Update: -With Antonio Vargas signed by Split-T Management and Shakur Stevenson signing with Andre Ward, that means that only Gary Russell is the only member of the USA olympic team that hasn't signed with either a manager or a promoter, he probably would sign with Al Haymon since his two brothers are signed by him. a)There isn't much to write about Shakur that hasn't been written, i should have suspected he would sign with Ward since Shakur was on his training camp for the Kovalev and also in the fight itself with him, Shakur can be a p4p star under good development. b)Vargas was the most talented member of his team and the most accomplished before the games also, he is dynamic and posses the talent to be a world champion, sadly he is a flyweight. -Mohammed Rabii, olympic bronze at welterweight, will turn pro, he signed with Gary Hyde, Rabii is an awesome boxer puncher, with pop on his punches, fast hands, accurate and with a good ring iq, could be a world champion with his major problem being his composure in the ring. -Tony Yoka, controversial super heavyweight champion is also turning pro, Yoka has fast hands and skill for a super heavyweight, but seems to be a 50/50 chance of being a really good boxer or at least a world champion or just a flop.
absolutely super thread, your getting close to as knowledgeable i am about amateur boxing, one thing though i'd disagree on is why are people saying alamkhanully has a glass chin? were have you gauged this from?
You know nothing about amateur boxing if you wasn't aware of alamkhanily been dropped and knocked out numerous times LOL maybe he has some Cuban blood in him cause he has one of their chins.
Like always the USA team all get pro deals and everything handed to them on a plate And then far better fighters such as Majidov, Dychko, etc don't even have the opportunity to turn pro.
The USA squad fas fairly solid this time, with four of the six members losing against the eventual gold medalist in their olympic matches. Dychko and Majidov maybe had different opportunities, but it's wrong to say that they didn't had opportunities, Mohammed Rabbii from Morocco, Concencao from Brazil, Teofimo Lopez from Honduras and others are signing with big promoters despite being from countries that doesn't have a big boxing tradition.
Mihai Nistor, at SHW. His style is made for the pro game. I dont think he'll ever become champ but he's very tough and entertaining. Its a shame what happened to him at Rio.
I wouldn't be surprised if your banned here and for life deyell on your main profile, chins? you mean like chakiev who was just koed again or what about Troyanovsky who was brutally koed, I know more about amateur boxing and boxing than anyone here, the op bcr is a good poster and clearly knows a bit about it to, Khytrov koed ALIMKHANULY but since he won the worlds he's looked pretty solid!
Hahahahahaha! You know nothing! Your P4P list was by far the worst on this forum! You had Rigo at number 1 and Lara, Gamboa and Andrade in the top 10 hahahaha! Jog on you racially biased, deluded, trolling, mentally ill loser.
