I can only assume Galal Yafai will join his brothers in the pro ranks soon...if he hasn't already. Seems like an obvious Hearn signing
Not necessarily because i dont think Hearn will want too many light flyweights, the midget weights get poor Tv ratings.. no one cares about them
Update: -Antonio Vargas, the most underrated and talented member of the USA boxing team, turns pro in feb. 24 with Teofimo Lopez (1-0) also in the card. -Filip Hrgović the Super Heavyweight bronze medalist would turn pro. -Tony Yoka signed with Richard Schaefer and is turning pro. -Jeyvier Cintron, the talented and underrated two time olympian from Puerto Rico, is turning pro with Top Rank. -Michael Conlan would fight Tim Ibarra in the Madison Square Garden in March 17th. -Gary Russell would probably turn pro in the same card his two brothers are fighting. -Shakur Stevenson signed with Top Rank. -Ivan Dychko, the Super Heavyweight bronze medalist is turning pro, wants a rematch with Anthony Joshua. -Mohammed Rabii the welterweight bronze medalist and world amateur champion is turning pro the next week in Morocco (Feb. 18) in the same card of Simpiwe Vetyeka. -Daniyar Yeleussinov the welterweight olympic champion is supposedly turning pro.
Antonio Vargas is turning pro today. He is the most underrated and probably the best boxer of the US Olympic Team. He beat Finol and considering that Avila was robbed against Aloyan (who was stripped of his medal because was caught in a drug test) and that Veitia arguably won his fight, he has wins over 3/4 of the deserved medalists. He's also the PanAm Champion and has wins over Cintron and Dos Santos.
Read about this. There was an interview with the guy who signed all three boxers from Kazakstan,he is the owner of MJTK or whatever the company is called. He wants to sign some more boxers from Kazakhstan as well, he will be in touch with their federation.
This olympic SHW medalists are gonna shake things up at the HW division. Might become one of the most exciting divisions within 2 or 3 years.
This content is protected Hrgovic, Yoka and Dycho going pro at heavyweight! Three top guys. Hrgovic to me is the best pro prospect of the bunch. He has the requiem for a heavyweight. 6'6" tall, solid build, A+ chin, very good power, and good skills. A fan friendly style too!
I hope Nistor goes pro too. He's better than anyone wilder or Joshua fought for sure. In fact, he KO'd Joshua as an amateur. Like many he was robbed in Rio in the super heavyweight division
The 2016 super heavyweight competition had the best fighters in the history of the division in the olympic games, but also had one of the most controversial champions in the games.
Could It be the only time all 4 of the medalist are turning pro? Not sure about Joyce but he had some intentions too.
