i think daniel lewis will qualify for austrailia and wil be the only oceanic boxer to qualify

I think heavyweight Jason Whateley from Australia will qualify.

Nyika's beaten Whateley twice yet got the hardest draw in the whole weight class. Probably the second best fighter in the field yet had to fight the best #1 guy Tulaganov in quarter finals

nyika wont have a hope at the world qualifiers either becuase there is only one place up for grabs and tons of quality europeans will still be in the mix

 

the uzbeks have qualified a full squad. kazakhstan have two play offs tomorrow at 52kg and 56kg and if they win them they have a full squad

Wheatley lost and has a tough play off fight tomorrow to qualify, i think Daniel lewis has qualified even though he lost becuase alimkunaly knocked out his oppenent meaning he cant fight lewis tomorrow be default

the japanese 60kg guy narimatsu lost but qualifies as suarez knocked out his opponent in the other semi

 

All of the "knockouts" were between rounds corner stoppages. Their guys had no chance of winning so the corners pulled them out so they wouldn't get too hurt for the box-off fights.

 

are you sure? i just saw the results and assumed they had been stopped, it should have been rtd if that was the case.

 

Yep, I watched all of them except Alimkhanuly's fight and that result is written the same way as the other ones. TKO 0:00 = stopped in between rounds by corner.

 

Story from Japan is that due to Narimatsu qualifying Shimizu will turn pro...may seek a world title fight in his 4th bout!
