Well he did make the finals, so unless that was ALL cooking along the way he is pretty good. We will have to see how heasy does with Shakur Stevenson. Beating him would make Melian fairly legit.

I'll watch the Robeisy match and see whether the scoring was very off base. The judging in the American qualifiers has actually been a bit off.

    Shakur is looking very composed.

Shakur laughing as he stuffs the straight left into Melián's diaphragm and then slams in a higher cross on his throat after feinting a jab. Melián getting in a few counter rights but Stevenson is jerking back to ride them without taking much damage. Left hand lead on the solar plexus, right hook on Melián's temple (while spinning his left fist in the air inches out from his own face, Muhammad Ali style) and then a left cross on the button from Stevenson, very effective. Melián is cut, badly.

All three judges have Stevenson pitching a shutout. One has given him a 10:8 round for dominance. Scores are 20:18 x2 and 20:17.

Alright, if Melián gets this one it definitely is home cooking...

Yeah that caught my eye too earlier this week, but as we all know attempting to watch boxing from Africa is a fool's errand. :!:

They might be showing it in Central America since Budler is facing Rojas, but who knows if they'll waste time on airing the undercard:conf
