Anthony Joshua: The Next Muhammad Ali? https://www.bongocelebrity.com/anthony-joshua-the-next-muhammad-ali/ "Is Anthony Joshua the next Muhammad Ali? Probably Yes regarding skills." American media has described Anthony Joshua as 'the next Muhammad Ali' https://www.irishnews.com/magazine/...hony-joshua-as-the-next-muhammad-ali--915729/ “I watched Muhammad Ali come through and this kid has all the appeal that he had in boxing terms,” veteran broadcaster Eddie Goldman told The Telegraph. “Joshua could be the second coming of Muhammad Ali. And that’s no exaggeration. He really could be the next Muhammad Ali. He was an Olympic champion, he is 18-0, all by knockout and he has all the talent in the world.”
Joshua was pushed MAJORLY by the UK powers that be since the beginning of the 2012 Olympics. Dude had everything dealt in his favor including (In My Opinion) Testing agencies looking the other way at his actual samples thanks to Eddie slipping them a hefty envelope. Look at the guys physical changes from the London Olympics to 2014. Usyk did a GREAT service
A niche became available in the Division and it was fully exploited by Matchroom with Joshua,Joshua won the belts nobody can take that away from him. The loss to Ruiz was not expected but plenty knew he’d lose to Usyk. Joshua is in the same place as Wilder now,the remainder of there careers will define how they will be remembered imo . Wilder is back with a win and hopefully soon Joshua will be back, the Division is more exciting with them both in it .
AJ certainly does not have all the talent in the world and he still has the gall to liken some of his recent performances to Muhammad Ali... It's hard to take him seriously sometimes.
Lol, never heard that before truth be told. He did have a massive amount of hype on the way up but then up until the Ruiz Jr fight he backed it up. World title in his 16th fight, unified against Wlad in his 19th fight, unified again against Parker in his 21st fight, he had a hell of a run for about 3 years until he believed his own hype and allowed himself to be humiliated by Ruiz. In a way it would of been better for boxing as a sport if he was as good as he was hyped to be, boxing needs stars with crossover appeal and say what you will about Joshua the man and those around him did a great job in making him a star. But in the end he did not live up to the hype and Usyk brutally exposed his ceiling as a fighter. It's clear he's a level below the very top guys right now let alone anywhere near the level of talent of an Ali or a Tyson.
True. Anthony 'Muhammad Ali' Joshua's best win Fury's leftovers and has only ever contested three fifty-fifty bouts in his entire career, losing two of them.
Tyson Fury contains the spirit of all champions before him and takes the soul and mojo of all he conquers. This content is protected
