So far,its looking good for unification fights. You have Usyk-Gassiev for all the belts at 200. Joshua is fighting Parker to unify the WBA/IBF/WBO titles, and an outside chance of a Wilder fight happening later in the year. You have Canelo-GGG going at it again for the WBC/IBF/WBA titles with Saunders openly calling out the winner. Hurd-Lara fighting to unify the WBA-IBF titles. It looks like the Bivol-Barrera winner os being set up to fight Kovalev next for the WBA-IBF titles. Mikey Garcia is saying he wants Linares after Lipinets which would be for the WBC-WBA title. Finally getting some consolidation
2017 was a great year, 2018 shaping up but I don't think we'll get Thurman/Spence and I wanted Burnett/Tete. Mikey Garcia better get a big fight lined up, collecting belts doesn't constitute big fights anymore as you are not always fighting high end opposition. Wouldn't mind BJS getting Golovkin/Canelo as well. And Lomachenko/Berchelt would be nice although I only see a Loma win. Jermell Charlo vs Hurd/Lara winner at the year end would be great. Probably shouldn't complain, lots of very good fights are set. 140 heating up with Ramirez/Imam/Prograis/Indongo all involved next Month.
Mikey has talked about Cotto, Linares, Loma, Thurman, Spence... I wouldnt get my hopes up. Dude has been all bark so far.
