    Glad Curry finally made it.

Nunn is more deserving than Jackson and McGirt.

    Teddy Atlas? LOL.

    Good announcer, decent trainer.

Great self promoter with his big mouth.

Very violent individual who has had big problems controlling his temper and need to seek revenge for "wrongs" he perceived committed against him.

Trained Tyson when he was an amateur, Tyson went on to greatness without him. Bad mouthed Tyson continuously later on.

Trained Don LaLonde, who got much better after dumping Teddy. Then, admitted he planned to murder Lalonde for dumping him and getting a huge payday that Lalonde earned, but Teddy did nothing to deserve to be part of.

Trained Kevin Moley, who got schooled by a shot Benitez.

Trained Chris Reid, who got obliterated by a fading Fully Obel.

Trained Michael Moorer when Moorer stood in front of Big George and got decimated.

I don't see how Buddy is even in the conversation as a fighter. They must have also taken his career as a trainer into consideration.

I would have thought Marquez, Calderon or Chris John would have made it over Buddy.

Well deserved induction for Curry and Jackson, I am so happy to finally see them part of the Hall of Fame. I'm mixed with McGirt being in but I've seen worse guys getting in.

I think Meldrick Taylor got robbed. How the Hell did McGirt make it over Taylor when Taylor completely dominated McGirt? It's not like Buddy accomplished more.

My choices would have been Jackson, Curry, and Taylor.

Three guys who are extremely overdue to make it: Rodrigo Valdez, Esteban DeJesus, and Ernesto Marcel.

Jackson was the hardest puncher, pound for pound, I've ever seen. Probably ever will see.
McGirt, though, was in the Hall of Very Good for me. He gave SweetPea some problems, was technically very sound, but never quite hit HOF for me.

Curry was the best overall of the group and hilariously Bailey cited Curry as an example of a poor P4P #1 fighter. This is epic. I've never seen so much fail from one single poster on any board I've ever been on. In any sport.

Rafael Marquez was a far cry from his brother and not HOF material.

It should have been Taylor. But hey, at least the Hall got 2/3 correct.

    COMMENTS UPON RECEIVING INDUCTION NEWS

“Alright! Now we’re talking. It’s an honor. This is the greatest day of my life. I’m overwhelmed to get this call from the Hall of Fame. It’s a dream come true.” - Donald Curry

"I tell you what, I’m speechless. This is a tremendous honor. Thank God for his grace and mercy. Wow! It’s amazing! I really don’t have words for this but eventually they will come.” - Julian Jackson

“To be honest, I can’t even talk right now. This shows you’re appreciated by the boxing world and that all the hard work and dedication pays off.” - James “Buddy” McGirt

“I am honored to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame Class of 2019. I am grateful to the international sportswriters and to the boxing community.” - Tony DeMarco

“I’ve been in the game over a thousand years and this is one of the greatest days of my life…absolutely one of the greatest days of my life. This is like winning the heavyweight championship of the world!” - Don Elbaum

“You don’t know how much this means to me. This is unbelievable. Fantastic. My whole life has been dedicated and attached to the sport of boxing and this is the greatest news I could ever get. Being recognized by the International Boxing Hall of Fame is the greatest reward that anybody can ever get.” - Guy Jutras

“The biggest honor in the sport of boxing is induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the greatest honor any publicist can hope to get. This is a tremendous honor. I now will be in the Hall of Fame with my former boss, the best publicist in the sport of boxing, Irving Rudd. And I wouldn’t be where I am without Bob Arum.” - Lee Samuels

“The sport of boxing has given me direction and a clarity for the difference between work and passion and a job and a purpose. It has also given me opportunities to share special moments with my family, as it has now with the news that I have been elected into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.” - Teddy Atlas

Donald Curry? Overdue. At his best he was something.

Julian Jackson? A bit of a reach. They type that gets in on a weaker class eventually.

James “Buddy” McGirt. Clearly very good, but great? Better men in the lower weights, I think should have this spot.

Tony DeMarco - Bad pick, they must be running short on old timers

Don Elbaum, Guy Jutras, and Lee Samuels - The boxing HOF is very liberal on non-participants. Did we really need three of them in one year? I'd prefer one or two. Three waters it down.

Teddy Atlas - Broadcaster. Really? If there were the HOF for biased pricks, he'd get in on the first try, and that's saying a lot for the history of them in boxing. Bad pick. Max Kellerman must be thinking, I'm a shoe in for the future.
