Yesterday Hebert Conceição Sousa fought and won by tko his pro debut against nicaragua´s jouneyman Danny Mendoza. Hebert is scheduled to fight again this month in Brazil against another weak opponent.

Hebert was the middleweight´s 2020 olympics gold winner with a great knockout against the ukraine´s Oleksandr Khyzhniak. In the semi final´s he beated Gleb Bakshi ( who was the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championship gold medalist).

I believe he is a guy that has potential to adapt with decent sucesss in the professional ranks. Any thoughs on him?

I liked the look of him in the am's, I thought he would transition to the pros no worries.

The win of Khyzhniak was a big, big upset and showed he must have a huge punch on him.

Saw his debut, it was a soft stoppage but an absolute mismatch and didn't need to continue.
He really should move on from these type of fights quickly.

the man who stopped Khyzhniak turning pro,

Khyzhniak's bad tactics were the reason for that dramatic KO loss. Battered him the whole fight, all he needed to do was count down the clock and not risk anything.
