2023 schedule so far to April

Aside from Ortíz vs. Stanionis and Fury vs. Usyk (neither of which is even up on BoxRec yet; the former just announced today while the latter has yet to be officially) there's literally nothing in the first third of the year that even remotely interests me, sadly. Like... not even a half-mast "pack of Rolaids" to quote Stewie Griffin.

Since before the pandemic even, my patience with this sport has been running very thin. Crappier it gets, the less I watch, and that in turn means the less I know, which makes the occasional tuning in just confusing and less enjoyable than it was back when my finger was on the pulse of everything. Vicious cycle. :

 

Don't forget Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde for January 28

 

The only good fight on the schedule right now is better Beterbiev fight and virgil ortiz.

 

A sad state of affairs gents.

 

Pitiful so far. Hopefully March will fill up with better stuff.

 

Wish I could, how on earth is Yard “e” a mandatory challenger and worse still, Smith is also one. These 2 undeserving, part timers are blocking a Bivol-Beterbiev undisputed clash!

 

Meh.

 

Leigh Wood vs Mauricio Lara and Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Eimantas Stanionis are the only fights from that list I'm most excited for so far. Beterbiev vs Yarde is expected to be a blowout but I'll tune in to see how Beterbiev looks.

 

Not even Bermane Stiverne vs Jonathan Guidry?

Following his last loss Bermaine has searched his soul and vowed he would either never fight again or dedicate his life as never before to regaining the world heavyweight title. He has decided to go after the championship. With every ounce of his being he has dedicated himself to this comeback.

I wouldn’t even call Beterbiev vs yarde a good fight. Yarde will be tucked up within 5 rounds

 

I was gonna just respond with a laugh emoji and call it a day but then upon reading that second paragraph it seems you are maybe sincerely asking me, in earnest, whether I'm excited for a Bermane Stiverne fight in 2022 (or just really committing to a bit totally deadpan) so, here's a confused one instead.

 

Boxing should yave exciting fights every month..

This is what's wrong with boxing not a single big exciting fight only one to excited for is wood Vs Lara and eubank Vs Smith (purely entertainment not best v the best) but that's terrible for boxing start of the year and okolie Vs light what even is that who sanctions these fights no one wonder so many boxers get brain damage in the mismatches
