No I rate Caneloore, I've just said that

However I don't think Floyd beats Crawford.

The Canelo that Floyd faced was not as good as the Madrimov Crawford faced.

After seeing how much trouble Floyd had w lowly Maidana I'm not sure how he wouldve handled 29 year old prime Madrimov whose 1st weight was 154.

Actually I think Madrimov wouldve outright beaten Floyd, but Floyd wouldnt have taken that fight simply due to risk/reward

Yeah I just glossed over the first part of that and responded to the second paragraph only. No need to rehash that here lol.

This isn't just wrong, it's ass-backwards. As we've been over many times, I had Floyd pitching a shutout against Canelo while scraping by Cotto just 115-113 and getting his nose broken. There's no comparison. Cotto landed more jabs alone than Canelo landed anything on Floyd all night.

OK that makes sense. And I think I agree, I just think this version of 154-lb Crawford is all wrong for 152-lb Floyd.

I disagree with the first paragraph.

    I agree with the second.

    I agree with the third.

So it's a case of meatloaf.

Crawford is good but aside from the switch-hitting and better power, he's Mayweather from Temu (similar in some attributes but worse in all). The genuine article would always defeat him best for best.

Even the version that fought McGregor would have been 50-50 with a contemporaneous version of Bud (so, August of 2017 - meaning the Indongo performance)

    :rolleyes::duh
No way. This Bud destroys "McGregor" Maywaether. Conor, a complete boxing novice won some rounds against Floyd and had Floyd doing a dance in that one round.

2017 Mayweather coming out of retirement to fight McGregor would be no match for this version of Bud. The fact that you think that would be a 50-50 fight shows how completely delusional you are!! :qmeparto:

If by "this version of Bud" you mean Saturday's, fighting Madrimov in 2024, you've misquoted me. I specifically said the Bud in 2017 who kayoed Indongo. :nono:

Recency bias at its finest. Aside from punching power and being a great finisher, Crawford doesn’t do anything else better than Floyd. I understand Crawford is the man right now and y’all have to hype him up, but I’ve recently went back and watched Mayweather-Canelo and Crawford-Spence, and it’s clear as day that Floyd was still much quicker/faster than Crawford, far more accurate, and a better calculated counter-puncher(the ability to manipulate his opponent to force the action), something that Crawford doesn’t do so well. Mayweather-Crawford would’ve been competitive at any weight class, but it would’ve been a slow pace chess match, and Crawford simply isn’t as great of a boxing wizard as some of y’all make him out to be. 8-4 or 7-5 Mayweather

I dont know about the foot speed. Crawford did have very fast feet vs Madrimov so you may be right. Obviously Mayweather always had better upper body movement than Crawford at every weight.

The hate needs to stop. Floyd would’ve handled Madrimov much easier than Crawford , just like Crawford would’ve handled Maidana easier than Floyd did in their first fight. Styles make fights. Madrimov fought Crawford mostly in the center of the ring and just waited to land the straight right hand against the southpaw Crawford, that wouldn’t happen against Floyd. Floyd would’ve outbox him all night long. Floyd is uncomfortable with roughhousing/smothering/wrestling tactics(Maidana, Porter, etc), and that’s why a lot of people think prime Spence would’ve given Floyd a tougher fight than a prime Crawford. Let’s stop with the overrating of Madrimov, he wasted so much energy feinting and moving, and allowed Crawford to out worked him. He wasn’t good enough to counter Crawford in between punches. That 2013 Canelo who fought Floyd would’ve dismantled Madrimov and most of y’all know it too, y’all just want to overhype Crawford’s recent performance and opponent to make him look greater than he really is.

People let their hatred get in the way of things. Do I like Mayweather the person? **** no! As far as inside the ring, there’s only a select few that I would pick against him and Crawford simply isn’t one of them. Crawford looks ordinary whenever his opponent slow the pace down and make it a chess match(Mean Machine, Brook, Madrimov, etc). Crawford looks invincible when his opponent are overly aggressive and overextend their punches and positioning, but when they sit back and wait to counter, Crawford gets overly anxious/angry and become the aggressor, and that would be his downfall in a fantasy matchup against Floyd.
