    I'll also take Vargas.

    He was much further along at 21 than Canelo is....however, Vargas was in love with his power and was more than willing to get into exchanges - which would give Canelo a shot. So while Vargas COULD box circles around him, chances are that he would opt for the WAR (which I'd still pick him to win).

    Vargas but Canelo still has a lot of room for improvement. I think that he'll get more power over time also with better technique and strength

    Funny how positively we remember and rank fighters after they've been gone/retire. I wouldn't have expected this kind of response from many fans.

    Vargas would have won. Alvarez's career will probably hold more longevity, so he can still develop and reach a more prime version of himself

    Vargas was just a better fighter at 21. You guys talking about old fighters get the glory like SRR and Vargas came up together.
