Round 1 Santiago pressing the action, Paris calm and cocky in the leaned-back Philly shell. Nice 1-2 from Paris. These gloves look like they're no more than four ounces. Paris throws quick lever-like jabs...really strange...coming up from his hip at a 45 degree angle but still very fast and crisp as much as if he were snapping it out straight. Low blow and Santiago is crawling on the mat. He takes a bit of time to get himself together and when they resume Paris gets on him with power punches. Paris' offensive technique is very, very good, and he's slipping most of Santiago's chopping attacks. Santiago does land a good right hand as Paris winds up, but Paris then abuses him with a five punch combo. 10-9 Paris
Round 2 Santiago chases Paris with a left upjab, and Paris evades before showing his own jab, a stinger that can't miss. Suddenly Paris gets his back against the ropes and Santiago wails on him; Paris slips most of them, Toneyesque, but absorbs a few. Santiago gains confidence but Paris is not acting worried. Paris begins to rip into Santiago as he comes forward with hard hooks and uppercuts. Hard right-handed body slap by Paris followed by a jab between the gloves. Paris then takes a breather and stands right in front of Santiago with a tight guard. Santiago tees off but can't find flesh. 20-18 Paris
It means missing two minutes of each round of one or the other. Hopefully either Paris-Santiago or Ngoudjo-Diaz ends in a KO so I can concentrate on one. I already gave up on trying to double-fist the RBR - that would just be madness to attempt. :yep
