Sorry to start yet another thread on this topic, but I was curious as to which of these two people were looking forward to more. Personally, I prefer the 29th line up, and to be honest would probably stump up a PPV fee if it wasn't included in my subscription, although I would do so begrudgingly! I can't say the same for the former, despite my love of boxing and hatred of watching it on dodgy streams, I just can't bring myself to do it. Those strawberries just aren't juicy enough for me.
29th easily, on Fury-Chisora and Saunders-Eubank Jr alone. Competitive fights involving interesting characters. Something the 22nd bill lacks unfortunately.
Got to agree, 29th looks a much better card (fingers crossed the two main fights happen). And when it comes to PPV, you can definitely make a case for 29th but there is no way to justify the 22nd
Would love to have seen how badly Matchroom's card would have flopped if they had put it on the 29th as planned. All of a sudden Eddie beat a hasty retreat to the 22nd, for "the fans" he said, but "the fans" dont want PPV for his bill, so if he is for the fans he would drop the PPV. Has just shown Eddie up for being full of ****
I think the Eubank vs Saunders is the best fight overall but I see Fury vs Chisora being very boring and I do prefer the 22nd card by quite a way to be honest. A lot of my personal favourite fighters are on that card, I like Joshua and Smith in terms of potential and Quigg and Bellew are very good to watch. I think the match making could have been a little better on the 22nd card but I feel like the 29th needed another attractive fight really for that to top the 22nd card
It would have been stupid to put both on the same night as many people will want to watch the two. Both interesting card and Hearn made up for FW being an arsehole as he moved his card to the same night as the Matchroom card originally so then Hearn moved. Its primarily business as far as the promoters are concerned but Hearn cares about the fans a lot more than FW
Reckon the matchroom show will have more PPV buyers than the boxnation show will have viewers... As for the two cards, potentially the best fight is eubank-Saunders, but it is more likely turn out to be a damp squib than clev-bellend. Next is cleverly-bellew which should be a decent fight, main intrigue with the eubank one is whether he can step up from bums to a fringe world level fighter. After those, fury chisora can be summed up by the horrendous sales for the first fight (if they have any sense they should make this one the chief support as there's no real demand from the public for this fight, was just fws attempt to keep up with the hearns really), most of the 'names' on the matchroom show are in ridiculously one sided affairs but the degale one could be a decent fight, year ago wasn't that a wbc final eliminator? The 29th has Gavin skeete, which quite frankly does nothing and it's an insult for them to say that show is a bill topper unless it's at somewhere like bluewater, all in all in terms of the card I'd say the matchroom on the basis that there's one undercard fight that's interesting, in terms of which is the best fight I'd go with eubank-Saunders, but for me it's pay £16.95 for the 22nd or £30 for the boxnation show (yes I know you can subscribe but I'm comparing PPV like for like here and I have zero interest in subscribing when my bt sport subscription, much like sky sports will show me the big fights in full a few days later and I pay nothing for it) so I will be swerving both!
Big Daddy just admitted to sucking Eddie Hearns **** by bringing up Boxnations one off PPV price rather than the monthly subscription which would get you Pacquio, Algeria and Hopkins Kovalev
Again, frankie can't ***** about sky charging for PPV for that card when he charges £30 for any fight on boxnation PPV if you don't want to give him your details And those fights are on at a stupid time in the morning and repeated in full on bt sport the following Tuesday, and for the same price I get so much more for my money than boxnation could ever provide :happy
If the 29th was on Sky and the 22nd was on Boxnation there wouldn't even be a debate. To think there has been all those Ringsides and SSN stuff about the Bellew- Clev fight and everyone wants to talk about BJS-CES, says it all. Nevermind Fury-Chisora is on the BN bill. I'm not interested in Eddie Hearn getting his fighters a payday v nobodies. Its doesn't make my job any easier regardless of how hard a sport boxing is
Ill be watching both. I really like Bellew/Cleverly. Ill be in the minority, but its as good as Froch/Groves mainly because theres no clear winner. But the ****** show is the better one. Firy/Chisora and Saunders/Eubank are even better fights, but also the least likely to happen. I wouldn't exactly be amazed if Gavin/Skeete was the bill topper. But Id be sick.
