That’s the problem. Their size and abilities make for tedious fights. Watching poor Tomasz get battered like that wasn’t fun, it was disturbing. But get the regular-size guys in there = fun!
It would be hard for Povetkin to turn down a fight with Adamek in front of around 30'000 in Poland in 6 months time. Other than a Klitschko he doesn't have many other big money fights to go for. Even against Holyfield I can't see him making a 5th of what he would against Adamek.
Each to their own. I don't think Povetkin is anything special, he's gone backwards from the promising fighter that demolished Chris Byrd. I'd back Adamek to be too clever and win a close but clear decision. Arreola..... I'd just see a repeat of the first fight, Adamek using movement to befuddle him and take a decision. Arreola has lost a bit of weight but is essentially still the same fighter, he ought to be in the 220's at most. Adamek vs Chambers would be a stinker, Chambers won't have the same speed advantage that he usually has and doesn't punch hard enough to get Adamek's respect. I can see Adamek turning aggressor as they're basically the same size and outworking him to a decision. Adamek vs Haye.... that's a 50-50 fight for me, it depends on which version of Haye turns up. If he comes in with a proper gameplan and implements it, he could win by stoppage in the middle rounds. If he comes to run around and throw punches via telegram he'll be outboxed and lose on points.
yeah just exclude the best in the division! I like the sound of this, it would be all action, create a lot of interest, and te winner would get a shot at the brothers. Unfortunately, there is a zero percent chance it happens.
Why is Arreola actually so highly rated on here? I mean I can understand it with the yanks, but he hasn't actually beaten anybody of note, probably not even a top 50 fighter. You could probably make a case that Tyson Fury's win over Chisora trumps anything Arreola has done.
Don't really rate him too highly but I think he is good enough to make a war with Haye(if Haye were to oblige):bbb
Suprised Odlanier Solis doesn't get a mention he is a lot better than the 1st round blowout by vitali would suggest, think he has potential if he loses the blubber.
tbf it wasnt really a blowout, he ****ed his knee whilst slipping/backpedalling, and he was getting the better of vitali at the time
