    McDermott pushes Fury back with his jab. It's not being snapped very hard but Fury looking to avoid contact early on, moving in a wide circle and holding out his hands to intercept. McDermott tries a couple of overhand rights as Fury turns the corners. Fury with low output, countering when McDermott runs him into the ropes. McDermott lands a jab and follows with a right hand but Fury rolls with it and doesn't take much damage. Fury lands a right on the button. Fury begins to keep his distance and extend a long jab. Fury throws a lazy lead right, and another, showboating a bit, doing a wiggle. McDermott all business, catches his attention with an overhand right. Fury goes back to boxing on the outside.

    McDermott tries to pump his way in on Fury, but his hands too slow to keep up with Fury's feet and upper body movement. Fury fighting very defensively, leaving the odd jab in his trail. McDermott nearly walks into a counter uppercut after trading jabs with Fury, but Fury had loaded it up from a posture leaned too far back. McDermott keeps following, not cutting the ring off. First clinch in memory. McDermott throwing arm punches as he sees Fury turning around him. Fury gets clipped with a stray glove and is immobilized for a moment. McDermott grabs him and carries him to the ropes, trying to land to the body. Fury tries to rip his arms free and respond. McDermott eats a right.

    McDermott trying to jab in, Fury just hanging back and trying to catch him with an uppercut instead of moving. They clinch again. Fury circles and feints. McDermott ambles on after him, using the jab to find range. Another clinch. McDermott misses a jab, then a combination beginning with a right hand. Fury grabs on, then turns McDermott into the corner and bangs the body. McDermott pushes a jab through and Fury again hits him in his chub. Fury holds out his jab hand still, the way Wlad Klitshcko does to shorter opponents. Fury with an exchange of mostly uppercuts, landing well.

    McDermott fishing with his jab, finds Fury's chin and taps him backward to the ropes and follows with a right hand. Fury just holding out his jabbing arm to keep McDermott at bay. McDermott walks through it and hammers Fury with the right. Fury flicking the jab and McDermott ignoring it, much of it missing. McDermott times a Fury jab and plants a right hand on his chin that has Fury turn partially away and grimace. Another right bounces off Fury's chin. Fury tries a 1-1-2 but McDermott ducks down under it and catches Fury as his momentum brings him into McDermott in a clinch with McDermott's back to the ropes. They fight out of it. Fury keeps the jab working but McDermott aware of it, it falls short. McDermott scuttles inside Fury's jab and begins to work a 1-2, Fury grabs him. McDermott keeps jerking his head back away from Fury's jab.

    40-36 - mccdermot has not got going at all though it wouldn't surprise me if fury gassed a little later on

    McDermott aggressive with the jab. Fury flinging his own from the hip. Fury tries a counter hook as McDermott keeps advancing but it bounces off McDermott's active jab. Fury with a couple of good combinations from a distance, working to the body with his long arms. Fury now keeping his hands hanging low like a gorilla. McDermott runs in, head-down and it winds up a clinch. The pattern repeats a bit, with neither landing much of note. McDermott knocks Fury into the corner with 1-2 but Fury responds with body work. Fury backs McDermott off with a hard hook downstairs.

    McDermott lands an overhand right flush after a bit of jockeying for range. They clinch and Fury tries to keep his arms around McDermott, but the shorter man tries to work him off until Fury gets arms around his neck. McDermott puts his arms out to show the ref he's got nothing to do with it, and Fury is pulled off. Fury all of a sudden goes for broke with a flurry, and another to the body. Again Fury wraps McDermott up against the ropes. McDermott chases him, a bit more quickly than before now. Fury ties him up. McDermott walks Fury into a corner and bangs him with a right. Fury tries to grab and knot up his arms but McDermott shaking him off.
