    Round 1

McDonnell quickly marks his ground with a long left jab. Bracco hopping around McDonnell in short bursts. Bracco having a hard time dealing with McDonnell's height, reach and speed. McDonnell mixing in some uppercuts with his constant jabbing, and a right hand that sort of chops lazily and floats, not a very straight punch. Bracco turning his punches over and missing even when he steps in on McDonnell.

    10-9 Jamie McDonnell

    Round 2

Bracco trying to quick-step to the left around McDonnell's jab and pop his own to the chest. McDonnell fighting tall and pressuring Bracco at the same time, controlling the middle of the ring with his jab. Bracco begins to fire the right hand upwards at McDonnell, causing him to back up to the ropes a couple of times. They come close to clinching but slide free of each other, and McDonnell ducks a wild hook. Bracco begins marching in with a 1-2 but the long jab of McDonnell keeps scoring on him and keeping him just far enough away.

    20-18 McDonnell

    Round 3

Bracco now leaping off his toes and trying to hurl his fists at McDonnell's face. Bracco flaps both arms in a sloppy combination, and McDonnell seems momentarily confused more than bothered. Bracco ducks down and puts a shoeshine on McDonnell's pecs beneath his elbows. Bracco busier but landing little. McDonnell reasserts his jab, and begins to line up right crosses bang on the head. Bracco hurt. McDonnell comes in with a now-straightened up right hand and a series of hooks. Bracco wobbles around the ring and tries to get away, keeping his arms crossed in front of his face and barely defending himself intelligently - McDonnell gives chase and batters him on the ropes, ten seconds left in the round, IT'S OVAH!!!!

Now it's Curtis Woodhouse, apparently a soccer hero turned boxer vs. Stefy Bull (trial-horse domestic operator, a victim of Amir Khan's lightweight run).

    Round 1

Bull leading with his right jab and straight lefts, smothering Woodhouse into a clinch when he can't escape counter fire. Woodhouse getting most of his work done to the body before they separate.

    10-9 Bull

    Round 2

Ugly action now, a lot of feinting, pot-shotting, blocking, and clinching. Woodhouse starts to show a jab, and backs Bull up. More body work from Woodhouse. Bull pushing his jab, and all his punches really - arm punches, mostly as he backs up. Woodhouse lines him up with a couple of jabs and then bangs the body with his right. Bull spreads his arms wide and drops over him like a blanket and they clinch awkwardly. Leaping left uppercut from Bull after they split up.

    Even rounds.

He's not doing bad, but unless he really steps it up he doesn't strike me as getting much further than British level.

McDonnell is the more promising of the two by far.

    Round 3

Woodhouse presses on with hooks, turning his hips on them well, and powerful
right hands on their heels. One shot catches Bull at an oblique angle on his chin and rocks him a bit, sending him back-first to the corner. Bull high-guarding, flicking a counter jab at Woodhouse as he charges in. Woodhouse keeping a small target, hands held high, coming in smart, weaving, leads with a hook to the body. Woodhouse flurries on Bull and gets him on the ropes. Bull decides to open up and stand with Woodhouse, momentarily drives him back with a pair of southpaw 1-2 combos.

    Woodhouse 29-28.

    Round 4

Woodhouse looking fresh, dances around Bull and continues to bob and weave. Bull tries to feel him out with the right jab, doing a bit of lateral hopscotch himself, but Woodhouse surer of foot. Woodhouse has his jab deflected by Bull's. Bull with a soft flurry as he turns around Woodhouse. Bull steps around and squares up to land a left hand lead on Woodhouse. They clinch. Bull with a right hook to the body. Woodhouse jabs, and goes back to bobbing and weaving. Very low output from Woodhouse, he's giving the round away. Bull ties up his arms and pushes him away. They tie up again and Bull carries him to the ropes. Bull now roughing him up, landing to the body and pushing him back to the ropes when his hands come up defensively to his face and tangle with Woodhouse's.

    Even again.

Bull is a really solid, experienced journeyman.

Exactly the sort of lad that will upset any pretender or a good fighter not at their best.
