At least for mayweather fights. Same old bull**** every time. The fake "money" persona, 50 cent, roger mayweather, mrs jackson, his father shows up, "hard work dedication" blah blah blah we get it by now. And floyd is trying way too hard, everything is so forced.

Sucks because 24/7 used to be awesome. Pac's version is played out too btw. let's see some other boxers please. Let's see lara, martinez, rios, gamboa etc

I agree, I wanna see different boxers on there, but I still enjoy it. This one has been better than the Oritz one

It's ****, the Cotto Margarito one was ok but they've been dire for a while now. I actually don't know what's worse, Floyds overacting or having to hear Pacquiao incoherently explain how he's now a congressman aswel but wants to give the fans a good fight.

Thats why I liked the countdown, 24/7 was interesting but after a few times we already know the story.
I want to see 24/7 on guys like sergio, pirog, rigo, maidana, hopkins, golovkin, froch, ioka, donaire etc.

You couldn't pay me to watch this ****. I don't follow boxing for this NONSENSE. The only time I care about these people is when they step into the squared circle.

i agree. . i thought cotto/margarito was good because of their first fight controversy. .

And the scene with cotto talking about his father passing was really touching. . . and it felt real.

HBO is erring in showing 24/7's in fights that are simply not close to being superfights.

I only browsed through the first episode of the Mayweather-Cotto 24/7, skipping through chunks of it to see if something in there caught my interest.
    Nothing did on either side.

I'll say this what the 24/7's have done for Mayweather. Its only served to show and put an exclamation point to how shallow he is and really lives.
Its an embarassment really to see his conduct in these episodes.
Alot of people call it entertainment, but quite frankly nothing Mayweather does in these episodes entertain me.

Cottos life stuff is boring and not interesting

ive learned not to buy the hype either so im not going nuts over this stuff

    Yep!
Even the Marquez-Pacquiao fight that merited a 24/7 was old news.
Much of what was shown on those 24/7's had already been shown in previous one's.
More time could have been spent looking at and hyping the matchup from a perspective of experts who thought Marquez had twice beaten Pacquiao previously.
Seeing as to how the 3rd fight actually unfolded, HBO would have come up looking like roses having played it that way.

They did'nt however, they went the way of building the fight and expecting it as somehow Pacquiao earning his degree and officially graduating to the notion that he had graduated to being a complete boxer/puncher.

HBO fell flat on their faces on that one and they continue to fail the boxing public by not probing and talking in the episodes about the intrigueing nuances each fighter can bring to trouble the other.

The 24/7's are just a joke now, they're meant to be shown to the casual not really boxing fan, but its worn on even them now.

24/7 isn't really meant for hardcore boxing fans. 24/7 is used to attract the casual fans. It boosts ppv buys.

I'm sure even the casual fans are not dumb enough to overlook what the TS is saying. The HBO Countdown's were much better imo. We need new faces cos we know Floyds and Manny's backstory inside out lol. That said, 24/7 lack alot of substance.
