Does anyone remember what Shane said about Mayweather in I believe the third 24/7? He said that when Mayweather gets hit....he panics and he's all shaky and he doesn't know what to do....But it seems to me that Mosley was actually talking about himself...What do you think?
Mosley reacts fine to being punched. It wasn't necessarily a matter of him panicking from being hit. It was more the fact that every time Mosley threw a punch he had to eat a sharp counter. Floyd was pinpoint all night long.
People talk about Shane looking worse than previous fights and showing signs of being old. The point many people are forgetting is that he was in there with the best pure boxer he has ever faced. Any coincidence?
Mayweather and Hopkins both have the tendency to make their opponents look bad. Then after the fight you get excuses about those opponents about how they "weren't themselves that night", "couldn't get their punches off", and other bull**** like that, which is CLEARLY the result of masterful boxing.

Exactly. There is absolutely NO denying Floyd's brilliance on Saturday night. Pinpoint precision... the timing of his counterpunches was ridiculous... his chin/heart to recover from a scary moment in the second round... the grit to go on to dominate ten consecutive rounds against one of the best fighters of this generation.... Floyd has proven all of the ingredients to put himself in the very top class of fighters in history. As you said, it's not a case of needing to put Mosley down. Mosley will still compete and win fights against other top Welterweights if he elects to continue boxing. It's a matter of how great the man across the ring from him was.
I think that the better clip from 24/7 is from Nazim. He said that Floyd would come out all tentative or some **** like that and that Shane would punch him in the mouth and floyd would sprout a tail and sprout wings and turn into a dragon. Pretty much called it spot on.
