being up against the ropes in not a problem for Mayweather, he can look after himself there and will do plenty damage fighting off them. It's not a factor.

Mayweather likes it on the outside, he´s faster and he has a MUCH bigger reach. Knowing the ring is very big, I´ve gone from putting my money on Hatton to Floyd, I think it makes a HUGE difference.

Yep, I definitely want to see what Floyd can do in there, and I don't want it to happen as a result of the things size.... Let him get in there and do what he does. If Hatton's camp allowed such a big ring, they're not so bright. Hagler vs. Leonard, anyone?

Phanekim, Steve Bunce was on BBC radio last night from Vegas. He made a big thing of it being a 22 foot ring. Buncey is a well informed fight correspondent. I doubt very much he is wrong.

    The Independent: reliable british newspaper:

The talking is over as Ricky Hatton goes for boxing immortality against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas
    By Steve Bunce

    Published: 08 December 2007

Forget 14 weeks of talk and hype because tonight, with nothing but a virgin canvas between them, Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather will gaze in hate

Ricky is an intelligent man (proud as he may be...he will give his all to play his chances) ; a guaranteed $10,000,000 on top of the British PPV sales is not to be scoffed at...:deal
