I've recently decided that 1 day in the week i wont eat anything at all so lets so my last meal is dinner 2day my next meal will be breakfast on monday.

Does anyone know if this is bad or good. I know it sounds stupid but 1 day of no calories cant really do me harm can it?

More pointless than anything, certainly not optimal for performance if you train regularly.

    stupid.
If your already on a big calorie deficit it can really **** you up and mess with your metabolism. If you were to binge the day before then the fasting wouldnt really do you harm but still pointless

I'm with you on that. I pack 9 or 10 meals (snacks & lunch) in an 8 hr work shift (it's a desk job to boot).

However, I DO feel that not eating for a whole day is a FABULOUS idea.
Let us know how it works. I'm gonna try not pooping for a whole day and report back tomorrow.

I read that if you do things like this then your body gets used to being hungry so when you do eat thingsit stores up fat in case you go hungry again. Your body doesn't understand why your doing it it just understands that its not getting food.

Don't know if that's true but it doesn't like a smart idea in any case.

Have done this myself periodically, and find it an excellent way of building mental strength to control over eating.

For me, maintaining <10/11% bf is always going to involve some kind of starvation, whichever way I slice it...

Doesn't affect my performance, but I'm used to doing certain training on empty.

If it suits you, go for it, and simply work your training intensity around it.

Just my opinion, will prob get shouted down lol, but there are lots of ways to skin rabbits...

For some people it suits their schedule and the research has demonstrated that it's not detrimental when trying to retain LBM, so it's ideal for them. However, I can't grasp people putting themselves through discomfort to do an IF protocl because they believe it will yield magical results.
