I can understand particular groups fasting i.e. models, body builders etc that need a low body fat for a competition/photoshoot, but the average guy? No good reason. Eat healthy and train, why is that so ****ing difficult for people to grasp? For an athlete it's just plain dumb.
You don't need to be a bodybuilder to do it, it doesn't hold some magical benefits for your physique, but for some people it may fit their schedule, they may prefer to have larger meals over a shorter period of time or a number of reasons, however I agree with the the final statement.

I think fasting definitely has it's benefits for some people but as pointed out previously I wouldn't recommend it to athletes. I'll do one 24hour fast a month just to give my digestive system a bit of a rest.
