Nope always 16's. 24 oz must feel horrible (to punch with not get hit by)

I find 16 oz to be a pain to work and easy to defend myself with.
    Cant imagine 24 oz.
Wont they be too big and ruin technique ?

I would always use 12 or 16s. I like the 12s on occasions, cause they really do give you a sense of a real fight. Especially when defending, it is alot harder to just keep your hands up and block punches.

I had a kid use 10's on me. He went full force and is a really good fighter. **** hurt, but it really made me feel good to know that I was progressing enough to compete at that level.

    never use 24!

24 is a bit OTT, I don't even think the boxing gym round the corner even has them, the couple of occasions I went we had to use 18

Yeah-i thought that--what kinda purpose would they serve in sparring-it says maximum protection but like most of you guys have put 18-20 at absolute maximum is protection enough for sparring. Is it about adding weight to the boxers training/upper arm strength conditioning regime or more for safety do you think?

    I've got 16's, 12's, and 8's. I won't get anything else either.

24's seem like they'd be huge.
