    Round 1

Gesta pumps his right jab and circles to his left. Trazancos thrusts his left jab while following. Gesta's looks a bit more authoritative but Trazancos is busier with his. Gesta loads up a few combinations but Trazancos is able to clinch and smother the left cross before it can land. Trazancos spoiling a bit. Sloppy 1-2 lands partially for Trazancos. Gesta backs him up with a leaping jab. Gesta steps past his own jab and lands a flush uppercut. Lead left lands for Gesta. Trazancos is now ducking and backing away and getting hit. Very wide loosey goosey shoeshine on the inside from Trazancos and he gets countered a bit but gets a right hand to bounce off the side of Gesta's head.

    10-9 Gesta

    Round 2

Gesta is starting faster, throwing some right upperhooks and driving Trazancos back. Trazancos is trying to be first to slow Gesta down but is getting countered and forced to resume a defensive posture. Trazancos is giving up his height, leaning forward and slapping with shots before pulling straight back and flinching. Gesta smacks him with a right hook and then barely misses with an uppercut. Another right hook pushes the head of Trazancos to his right. Gesta lands a three punch combo. Trazancos reaches in and scores with a jab to the body but takes two clean head shot counters as he pulls out. Gesta blocks a 1-2 as Trazancos falls in and then pushes off when Trazancos tries to clinch. Trazancos aggressive, opens up with a long sequence of side-to-side punching. Gesta drops his hands and sticks his tongue out, slipping and countering a little but getting tagged as well.

    10-9 Gesta

    20-18 Gesta

    Round 3

Gesta looking to finish, attacking the body with his chin tucked down and putting his lead arm up to defend as he whacks his way forward with his left. Trazancos is momentarily trapped on the ropes, but gets free and squares up to start trying to flick straight punches at Gesta with both hands. Gesta is economical with his punches, throwing hard right hooks and left uppercuts which Trazancos is jumping out of the way of. Trazancos lands a left hook right on the belt line above the right hip of Gesta. Trazancos is pounded near the corner for a moment but escapes. Gesta lands three taps to the body. Gesta teeing off with the left uppercut as Trazancos tries to circle and flurry. Trazancos' head snapped back by a straight left.

    30-27 Gesta

    Round 4

Gesta is playing around a bit, leading with right upper hooks that look like something Sagat in Street Fighter II would use. They're missing but they're forcing Trazancos to retreat. Trazancos floats his jab and misses, and Gesta counters with his own and combos started with lead uppercuts. Trazancos bows down to go to Gesta's body but walks right into an uppercut. Again Trazancos puts his head down while throwing underhanded to the body and Gesta lets him get away with it. Trazancos pops his jab and spoils a bit.

That was actually Trazancos' best round (or rather, Gesta's worst based on activity and accuracy) but still - 40-36 Gesta

    Round 5

Gesta steadily rolls forward, keeping Trazancos docile with the jab. A backward 1-2 (left lead, then right jab) crashes Trazancos into the ropes. Gesta continues to give chase and land at will with hard straight left leads and right hooks as Trazancos drops both his hands to pour his energy into moving his feet (but still getting trapped). Gesta looks incredibly relaxed, throwing a jab and then pausing to let Trazancos advance and blocking his slower-handed attacks. Gesta then turns the offense back on and begins to rock the head of Trazancos with right hooks. Trazancos hops to his left to get out of the way of a wild lead uppercut and Gesta times his hop to land a hard right hook on the cheek.

    50-45 Gesta

    Round 6

Trazancos is coming forward now and paying the price. He does land an overhand right through the crossfire. Gesta now backing up and boxing, still economically. Gesta blocking most of whatever he can't lean way from. Trazancos really gunning for him now, maybe trying for a KO from behind on the cards. Lunging shots from Trazancos are mostly deflected by gloves or landing on the chest of Gesta but he is outworking the Pinoy fighter. 1-2 backs Gesta up. Gesta throws a left hand while backing up and slipping. Trazancos keeps the pressure piling on and keeps his hands moving. Gesta picking off or outright avoiding many of the blows but throwing too few counters to preserve the round.

    10-9 Trazancos

    59-55 Gesta

    Round 7

Gesta is back in the driver's seat now with jabs and left crosses behind the jab. Trazancos may have blown his wad, and is now running backward until the much faster Gesta gets in position to plant a perfect straight left hand, knuckles flat on the front of the face, as Trazancos is already backing up and off balance. Trazancos hovers leaning in the air like a felled tree and hits the mat hard, and isn't even given the benefit of a count.

Poor *******. He just won his first round and gets KTFO. :yep

Mercito "No Mercy" Gesta is a decent looking lightweight prospect. It's surprising that's only his 9th stoppage (in 19 victories with 1 draw). Actually, upon closer inspection of his record he's fought a good many Cristian Favela types. (Favela, who's also on this card, has been stopped only once in 54 bouts).

Now it's a clash of super featherweight journeymen, scheduled for eight.

Adolfo Landeros, 20-14-1 (9 KO wins, knocked out three times) vs. Noe Lopez Jr., 5-5 (4 KO wins, knocked out twice)

    Round 1

Lopez goes nuts in the first minute, backing Landeros into a corner and throwing a bevy of punches that eventually hammer down the guard of Landeros and force him to lurch forward and grab Lopez while tilting his head out of harm's way. The pace settles down and Lopez is still clearly hopped up, bouncing in the knees whenever he isn't throwing his right jab. Landeros is looking more comfortable with a slower and more cautious boxing match, and sizes Lopez up for some lead right hands but can't quite catch the target from long range with his shorter reach.

    10-9 Lopez

    Round 2

In a cautious opening minute, each takes turns flicking out either a jab or a 1-2. Neither lands cleanly. Lopez throws the first extended flurry. Lopez throws a hard lead left but is blocked. Lopez is landing with his long right jab, having found a good range for it. Landeros tries to counter Landeros to the head as some shots land to his body. Lopez is able to move his head out of the way and roll it down into Landeros' chest and clinch when he's done with his body work. A Lopez jab sends Landeros taking a few involuntary steps back. Landeros can't reach with his jab. A 1-2 from Lopez pushes Landeros back. A flush lead left puts Landeros on his ass! He beats the count but looks weathered. Lopez rushes in but Landeros is saved by the bell.

    10-8 Lopez

    20-17 Lopez

    Round 3

Landeros is now trying to trade freely with Lopez but eats another lead left on the nose and gets gun shy again. Lopez pressures him with constant punching and forces him to open back up and again Landeros gets his head rocked back while flailing. Things settle down and Landeros looks more confident, putting up a high guard and crouching as he tries to find an opening. He throws a six punch combination and lands a couple to the body of Lopez. Landeros is now the one coming forward and is picking off the long right jab of Lopez, hanging just outside of range but menacing. Lopez dodges a lead right and then misses a left uppercut of Landeros. Lopez eats a jab but throws a right hook and left hand combo that lands flush in the process.

A better round for Landeros but he's getting shut out and will soon need a KO to win.

    30-26 Lopez

    Round 4

Landeros advances with hard overhand rights and looping left hooks. Lopez backs away and keeps clear of most of the leather but is not producing much in return. A body shot lands for Lopez but he is still backing up. Double jab sets up a left hand that sends Landeros a few steps across the ring but he comes running right back. Lopez lands another lead left, then a jab, and another lead left a few moments later. Landeros is stalking but his output has slowed. He misses an occasional overhand right that is pushed out from out of range. Lopez threatens with a triple jab-feint and Landeros runs away. Lopez now suddenly has Landeros with his back to the ropes and pecks at him with jabs and lefts while Landeros tries to reign him into a clinch and unsuccessfully attempts to roll with the punches on the ropes.

    40-35 Lopez
