wow, I cant remember any former world champion that fell this far in such a short amount of time. The fight wasnt even close. Lacy was overrated, but 5 years ago he would not have lost to Smith. Either way, Smith deserves credit. Ive seen him fight before, and he is not as bad as his record indicates.

Smith went to Lacy's back yard and beat him 118-110, 117-111 and 116-112.

I think it's fair to say that this is the end.

You could easily argue that Lacy lost his last 8 fights. I dont think he clearly beat any of them. Joe ruined him, but reaally he was never that good. That was a turning point in Joes career, but his wins over Kessler and Hopkins are his biggest by far.

Lacy is so far gone it's sad. I know he was never that good, but still.

    He needs to retire. Now.

I was actually surprised when I saw it mentioned on Fightnews on Friday, didn't think Lacy was still going. Well, here's the message for him now.

I thought he lost to Manfredo and Mendoza, I haven't seen Griffin or Tsypko II but that could very well be the case.

Sounds like once feared Left Hook Lacy has seen his better days. Time for Lacy to find another line of work.
