25-19-7 Dharfir Smith upsets Jeff Lacy!

After only 20 fights he fought a seasoned 10 year world champion,that was a stupid decision Lacy never recovered from.

 

Look for Lacy to move to MMA. That is the only place his lack of ability but massive power will translate into wins.

OH, and BTW as sick and twisted as this may sound, I had him beat by Sam Soliman when he was considered king by all the SMW huggers he had.

 

Oops, Im thinking of Winky, but I always considered Lacy overrated even in his prime.

Jeff Lacy has been a nobody his whole career....

 

He lost twice to Pavlik,including once at a 166 catchweight.I like Taylor because he's a nice guy,but he was never a world class fighter.Your posts are getting worse and worse.

 

Yes.Absolutely true.I'd never heard of his name until he fought JC.When you look at his resume,it's absolute crap.Crap.

 

EVERYONE did. Absolutely no-one thought that he was good at all. At least, almost no-one is brave enough to admit it now.

 

Jeff Lacy is a great guy... I cant stand the disrespect he gets. it really makes me think that few people are actually fans of the sport, and most are just ****ed up haters with psychological issues. Lacy had the heart of a warrior, always give everything he had. He deserves respect and peace of mind as he retires. Jeff Lacy is a credit to boxing. He should retire and find something else that he loves to do.

 

Honestly,I'd NEVER heard of him before the Joe Calzaghe fight.

 

I had only heard of him because of his fight against Reid. But I checked out his record and downloaded a few of his fights (this was before it was standard to use youtube) and I was really worried for Calzaghe. I for one didn't expect any kind of massacre: I expected Calzaghe to win a disputed decision.

 

People can say Lacy was always garbage, but the fact is, he wasn't THIS bad. He was at least a tough, powerful, and strong title holder. Not a guy losing bad to journeymen. It's time for him to quit.

 

He's young too, it's not like he got old. It's like he forgot how to box, the guy had a very long Amateur career. Maybe all those Am fights added up as well.

Who knows, again, strange career cycle with Jeff.

And Jeff Lacy graduated into the realm of absolutely garbage this weekend.
