:good It's pretty sad that people keep taking it out on Lacy just because THEY thought he should've been so much more than he wound up being. I'll be the first to admit- I had him knocking out Calzaghe leading up to that fight. Just because Calzaghe proved me dead wrong doesn't mean that Lacy deserves the **** he's taken since then.
I know, look what I wrote above. You must be real stupid, thats the 2nd time on this thread now atsch
He has not been the same since his shoulder injury. The injury he had was significant and it took away his greatest weapon. He was a one trick pony so to speak, the injury took that from him and now he is simply ****.
...Andre Ward? Win over Kessler?!? Ironically enough, Ward & Lacy have the same KO %. And if you're stuck on the 25 W figure, may I suggest the Road Warrior with his 51 W? :think
god 2006. i remember that lacy was an all time great in the making, who might drain himself to 160 to take on taylor, then move up to light heavy against woods and ademek, easy and might fight either bayer or calzaghe then bell then maskaev. it's wiered but i think a very good fighter could beat everytfighter in this list and lac look drivin enough to doit also the days when cotto was a weakchinned muth****er who was on the brink of a ko all the time.
Maybe, but he had some balls and chose to fight, rather than take a vacation! It was too much too soon, like Vargas, but he never ducked anyone and he always had his urge
I think it was that, just as much as the Calzaghe loss, that deteriorated Lacy the most. He relied on that to the extent that he never properly learned to fight without it. The loss to RJJ was embarrassing in itself, but at least he was a HOFer even if an extremely faded one. This loss is even worse.
Not stuck on the 25 no. It is resume and no active American SMW has a better win resume in the division than Lacy. G Johnson in his 40s and recently a SMW again, dosent have a better win resume than Lacy at SMW. In fact Johnson at SMW has lost as many in the division as he has won, and lost to Sheika and Vanderpool who Lacy beat. Johnson wasnt good enough to compete at a high level in the SMW division years ago. Ward dosent either. That dosent mean Ward may not be a better fighter than Lacy but a victory over a double vision suffering Kessler, Green , Bika and Miranda , dosent amount better overall than Pemberton, Manfredo, Williams, Sheika, Tsypko, Vanderpool and Reid. Although Lacy has declined his win resume is above any active American SMWs in the division and on par with Butes. Tells you how far the talent has dipped from the class of the division in 2005
Wrong. Tells you the current SMWs are babies who were brought in slowly. :nono ...are you also gonna say Lacy has a better win resume than Kessler?!?? He wasn't impressive at all vs Sheika, Tsypko gave him hell too... didn't Tsypko lose to Andrade?! Oh, and I still can't believe you're bringing Manfredo in a SMW discussion. BTW, who the hell is Williams? The guy who got exposed by Lacy and went on to lose by TKO to Andre Ward? For ****s sake, the man lost a decision to Allan Green... and who has he beat, Tony Menefee?!?? Where is Pemberton now? He's 43, probably retired after losing his last fight by TKO in 2006..... to Manfredo. :think Yepper, awesome resume.
