Jesse Madgdaleno vs. Matthew Salazar, featherweights

Round 1

Explosive knockdown right away by Magdaleno. Continued punishment as Salazar tries desperately to get into the fight sees Magdaleno just smashing the body. It's stopped after three knockdowns.

 

That was a good looking debut by established prospect Diego Magdaleno's younger brother.

 

Lightweights are up: Marvin Quntero & Daniel Attah

 

Round 1

Quintero fires his right jab high and low. Attah swats with a right hook and otherwise keeps his hands up and moving as he circles. Quintero doubles his jab and comes in with a left. Quintero jabs to the body under Attah's guard. Attah launches an overhand left that falls shy. Quintero tries to time Attah circling with a left and barely misses. Quintero lands a pair of right hooks to the body. Quintero sustains his aggression throughout as it gets a bit ugly.

Yeah, he's very negative. Quintero has power, though. Maybe he'll catch him.

 

Round 2

Quintero tries to find a spot to get in on Attah, who keeps winging shots from the ropes and corners. Quintero is caught by a counter right hook out of a clinch and KTFO!!!!!!!!!! He is on the canvas for well beyond the count applied by Jay Nady!! Wow!

 

That's why fights are never won or lost on paper.
