Corporal Jamel Herring vs. Preston Freeman, 3 rounds

Round 1

Freeman uses a lot of right hands and clinching to stem off the attacks of the taller southpaw. Herring tries to land the right jab quickly before the clinches and putting together combos both before and after the break. A couple of nice lefts crash into the headgear of Freeman, who spins Herring around and slams him to the ground at the bell.

 

Round 2

Big counter left hook from Freeman delivered over a right jab rocks Herring (and the broad calling the action with Teddy calls it a jab :roll. Freeman is trying to flick his jab upwards with the knuckles turned downward, almost pimp-slapping at Herring. The marine begins to land a nice long 1-2 as he sets up his attacks in between the breakups of their clinches. Herring maintaining good distance and throwing long right jabs, putting together twos and threes when they connect. The 1-2 is getting home right on the exposed part of Freeman's face. Freeman tries a left up-hook on the inside but misses.

Good start to the round by Freeman, but Herring dominated the last two minutes. 10-9 USMC
