I don't know how accurate this 27k figure is but I think this fight will sell more than 50k, won't be surprised if it reached 70k by fight time.

There are lot of other sports going on too. NBA just started....NFL is in full swing. The world series is happening. Sports fans' attention is, probably, somewhat diverted right now. I think it'll pick up as the fight draws closer.

27K is good...but, if they can't surpass Pac v Clottey numbers, that is considered a FAIL, IMO. Margo, I assume, should have a sizeable Mexican following there. So, I expect the numbers to surpass Pac v Clottey. But, maybe it's just that people in the surrounding area would rather watch from home this time. Kind of a 'been there...done that' type of thing.

Joshua Clottey's fight sold 36,000. This fight only has 27,000 right now. Where is all this mighty Mexican and pinoy purchasing power, you guys were arguing about existing?:rofl:rofl:rofl

I read that it was 36K aswell, but just couldn't find the source again.

I think 51K was a lie now. 2 weeks in is not long. They'll sell 15K at maximum in that time IMO.

    HBO reported 51,000.

I think this fight does around 40k, less in attendance but probably more in PPV.

When Arum was asked how the tickets were selling compared to the Clottey fight, he said much better. Then again, he probably was just promoting, as if it truely was doing much better he would have been out with regular updates on ticket sales.

Pac-Clottey was the first fight in Dallas Stadium, that got a lot of hype based on that.

 this is just one big fat hate thread.

    enjoy it haters :smoke

After Pac vs Margarito, Pac will have the most career PPV sales out of all the active fighters in the world.

I'm not a hater at all. I like Pacquiao, but these figures are not what I expected 2 weeks before a fight.

They aren't done selling yet. Guess we'll have to wait for the final tally.

There can be numerous reason for declines in ticket sales. A **** load of outside influences.

It's not me who said Mexicans and pinoys have a great purchasing power.:rofl

You know you're my favorite Mexican kid on this forum, you get so sensitive.:hey

The fight was rewarded with a paid crowd of 36,371 and a gate of $6,359,985, according to post-fight tax reports filed with Texas boxing regulators. Counting complimentary tickets delivered to sponsors, media outlets and others, the Dallas fight attracted 41,843, well short of the 50,994 that was previously announced

    IMMA DAWG, IMMA GORILLA!

What the hell does any of what you said mean. 700,000<1.4million. I doubt this fight does more than a million especially if they're charging what Floyd charged for the Shane fight. I say at most 800,000 buys. The Shane fight did good because it was a fight the public was calling for and people thought Shane had a good chance to beat Floyd. I think not too many people are falling for the bull**** hype of Manny getting slid by Khan and how he's yet again getting distracted. It's old news and Freddie said it himself."I saw your last 2 fights."
