dubois still beats him. Let's not forget ppl were saying AJ looked the best he's ever been prior to fighting dubois.

Yeah but if Ruiz didn't pile in 3 stone for the rematch would have been a different fight imo.

Nice little trip down memory lane there mate, thanks for that! The rise and fall of AJ is a study in athletes and fan psychology, give it 10 years or so and there will be some great documentaries on it !

My thoughts too. That right hand by Wlad in the 6th that joshua got up from was harder than anything dubois has in his arsenal. I still say had that shot been four inches lower… Lol joshua would’ve been out for five minutes.

But yeah I really think 27 year old joshua would have KOed dubois and probably within 3-4 rounds. I think the two Usyk losses took a real toll on joshua. Both mentally and physically

    Absolute firefight this!

It would be a great fight, this version of AJ took a shotgun right hand and stood back up smiling. I don't think Dubois has the grit that AJ had back then, so AJ by mid to late round KO.

Agreed, especially that first Usyk fight. Ever since he has been bamboozled as to how he should fight. Should he move and box? Should he use his size? Should he be aggressive and look for the KO?

    Usyk took his soul.

AJ performed very well in his last 2 fights before Dubois. Looked very confident.

Didn't Dubois already beat his ass in sparring? He's already like 0-2 as I see it.

I agree, but the overconfidence he had then was both good and bad. Swinging wildly and gassing quickly means he either cleans DDD clock or gets taken out himself. My guess would be the latter, but a more fearless version of AJ was definitely more fun to watch
