Hell yeah. This would boost the sport, in a very big way (much more than that Contender bull****).

It would especially help raise boxing's profile if it was aired on an equivalent to Sky Sports 1 (basically, ESPN or ESPN2).

    Slate vs. Morris

    Round 1

Both shred the air with short combos while slowly circling at medium range. Morris gets the slight better and presses Slate back into the ropes with a series of hooks. Slate double jabs to the body and comes forward tapping his gloves together. Morris is now getting backed up consistently, slipping off the ropes to avoid Slate's power shots. Morris digs to the body in a clinch. Morris now tries jabbing on sidestep outside and lands a bit better here. Slate clinches him up after taking a few long punches and pulls him into the ropes. BIG right hand from Slate turns the taller man over at the waist for a moment but Morris comes right back and misses a flurry as they clinch up. Slate may have stolen it with that big rocket; Morris had appeared the slight winner up until then.

    Round 2

Slate pounds his way in with straight combos that don't quite extend enough to make contact as Morris uses a catlike stance and style of movement. Morris lands a hook to try and hold Slate off but is getting pushed around by Slate's busy hands and forward motion. Double jab by Morris and he gets countered and dives inside, flurrying to the body. A couple of really nice shots by Slate, a left hook and a right hand as Morris lingers on the inside too long. Morris finishes the round circling and jabbing quickly on his toes.

    20-18 Slate for me.

    Round 3

Body shots by Slate and a clinch by Morris as Slate brings his punches upstairs. Slate up-jabs into Morris' face and gets tangled up again. They wrestle and Slate labors to get some body whacks in. Slate times a Morris while circling left with a 1-2. Both telegraph and miss their punches as they fall into clinch after clinch. Both tap each other in the kidneys while clasped. Slate is flicking out single pot shots before the clinches now and not landing especially cleanly but better than Morris, who keeps having his lazy jabs slide over Slate's right shoulder. There's a nice short loop-over left hook from Morris but it was a bit soggy. Slate pressures and jabs, and leads with the right and is knocking Morris aroud a bit. Morris goes into a defensive shell and ducks down on the outside and has jabs tip him on the brow.

    Clean sweep for Billy, IMO

    In this one? Slate, slightly.

Overall Dickinson (5/2) and Dodson (7/2) to win the tournament.
