    For argument's sake, many will say Mosley...STRETCHING a mentally tough Zab.... EXTREME FAR reach hummm....Quintana.. but no one really.

    i'm picking Cotto to lose to Gomez
    upset in the making ... this guy has been in there with guy who stretch from 154-168 and no matter level of competition ... these guys were naturally bigger and stronger than any welterweight including Cotto. Now speed will come into play but i'm sure Cotto will elect to slug it out with Gomez and that will be a no no.

    Mosley can't beat Floyd, he has no defense, he takes alot of shots, Cotto showed that. He had the chance to be the mandatory for Floyd after he Collazo but elected to fight Cotto and lost.

    I think Floyd will smash Mosley -- he almost knocked out Zab if it weren't for the low blow.

    Quintana isn't no where near as fast enough to compete for 12 rounds and body shots aren't his best friend -- he will get stopped just like he did against Cotto. This isn't an up and comer who isn't focused, this is a long reigning champion we're talking about. Thats ridiculous...

    I don't question Gomez' chin ... Cotto has a questionable chin --

    We don't know if Cotto can hit harder than Gomez ... for most of his career he was fighting middleweights and very big welterweights. He has the size advantage on Cotto, even though Cotto has the edge on speed.

    Mosley has no answer for the jab (Forrest, Cotto, and Winky) -- Floyd has an underrated jab and if he choose to like he did in the 8th against Hatton, the 10th against DLH, he will use the jab and cruise to an easy victory

    Gomez is strong and dangerous, but I wouldn't go as far as putting any money or openly rooting for the kid. I have been saying that Cotto's people were looking past Gomez.. They wanted a 'keep busy' fight. But we all saw what happened to PW in the 'keep busy' fight against Q.

    Mosley may have no defense for the jab, but really a jab is not a knockout punch. It delivers points and sets other combos up. but if mosley was in the ring with PBF, then mosley would depend more on his speed to move around the jab. PBF would then move on from jabbing and counterpunch more.

    True, but it also says that gomez can take heavy punches. Would you agree that a 168/160 lbs fighter is stronger than a WW?

    It doesn't mean that he's stronger but it says alot for his low KO ratio and for someone to look at that and think that he can't punch is in for a long night. It also says alot about his chin ...

    I'm sure that Gomez wouldn't tire himself out if he had Cotto hurt.

    Again i say, for arguments sake. I did say EXTREME far stretch for Q. Q does have a shiny trinket around his waist that PBF may want... Mosley does get hit alot, but many feel he beat cotto. (I bet the judges were sitting right next to the commentators)

    Man you can't tell me that Mosley now is as fast as PBF ... the fight with Cotto made me realize just how fast Cotto actually was.

    Mosley doesn't move like Floyd he bounces real fast but is not as slick of move as Floyd.

    Mosley is a power puncher at best - not a boxer ...

    Floyd would win that fight by an easy UD -- more convincing that Cotto's victory over Shane.

    Shane hasn't beat an elite undefeated fighter ever --

    He's good but not good enough to beat Floyd even in his prime -- he just has no "D" -- he has happy feet and just stands in one place.

    He would find it hard to hit Floyd and stop punching like he did in the second fight against Oscar.

    So am I. I Think Gomez will try to keep Cotto at bay with his jab and fight a distance fight with the 2 inch reach/height difference to try to avoid the body attack. That will only work for a round or two and then he will have to hit and run, so to speak. Really pick his spots.

    I think Cotto will elect to trade to make an impression and get him out of there -- he did that against Torres and Judah ... he will make a mistake and get caught with a flush right. Now if Cotto doesn't get him out of there early then I see him make adjustments and fighting smarter.
