Don't forget in addition to that that Cotto is prone to cuts - he cut against Judah and Mosley.
That adds another factor into Cotto getting stopped.

His chin - He's been rocked by some light punchers

Floyd's precise attack - too much punishment can lead to the fight getting stopped or Cotto abandoning his offense in favor of defense

Possibility of Cotto being behind and having to go for broke attacking PBF recklessly can lead to some pretty disturbing counters.

... and now cuts, like Hatton, like Gatti, Cotto's been cut way too many times and if he's cut against Floyd then his face will turn into a bullseye and it will become target practice

and like Castillo, Cotto will lose.

and unlike Castillo, Cotto's eggshell chin has been cracked a few times.

Cotto isn't as good as Castillo no matter what weight its at. His chin has stood up to Oktay Urkal, Zab Judah, Carlos Quintana, and Shane Mosley.
He got hurt 2wice against Judah and was badly hurt against Mosley which resulted in him turning boxer.

Floyd doesn't have to be a big puncher to knock someone out. The accuracy of his punches along with the accumulation will drop anyone. Who's to say that Cotto won't run out of gas or get stopped on cuts or from taking too much punishment.

Theres more ways to stop someone other than landing a one hitter quitter.

His jab is better because like other natural lefties fighting orthodox their strongest punch is coming from the jab. Cotto right hand has no pop and he rarely uses it.

Castillo is a great boxer, no he doesn't have the same speed as Cotto, but his body attack was better. His power is far better than Cotto's and his resume also speaks for itself. (better opposition - more former champions)

Judah is no Floyd Mayweather either ... i'm pretty sure if Floyd had Cotto hurt like Judah did he would stop him or he wouldn't give him a chance to get his legs together and punish him the rest of the fight.

Bottom line Cotto loses to Mayweather by KO no decision on this fight.

He's never seen anything close to Floyd in the ring and once they step into the ring he'll realize that its easier to say what you're going to do when you're on the outside looking in.

Good point on the cuts factor. didn't even think about that in the equation, but if Cotto does get one over the eye PBF is all over it.... I don't know... PBF is a hard equation to solve. He adapts so well, he can train himself. **** his corner is there just to collect checks. Am I the only one who can't understand Roger? All I can make out is 'mother****er' and '****'

Mayweather scared to get Ko'ed, but he's fighting a bigger, and stronger puncher than Cotto......make since :-(

I'm a huge Cotto fan - I have several of his fights on tape. Hell I paid 50 buck for that bull**** fight against Shane Mosley.
I know alot about boxing and I know for a fact that Cotto will lose to Mayweather. (and lose by KO)

No one has yet to tell me what Cotto can do to win ...

Who was top 10 p4p when they fought Cotto? ohh Paulie Malignaggi

I won't ask you to explain why Mayweather will definitely beat Cotto, because i believe the same. But could you explain to me how Cotto-Mosley was a bull**** fight?

Cotto made it a war for 9 or 10 rounds then all of a sudden out the blue he just started to retreat. I wasn't disappointed in the fight overall but I was disappointed in Cotto. His jab seemed to be hurting Mosley and all of a sudden he just turned into a counter puncher. End the fight on a good note -- he left questions to whether he won the fight or not.

I think if he kept fighting Mosley wouldn't have thought he won. I actually had it a 114-114 even though Cotto did counter effectively. The change in style confused me.
