A close UD is still a UD --
If the fight was close with Zab then he wouldve won by SD or MD not UD

You can say what he wants but he won the title that he wasn't supposed to win - he was supposed to be a tune up for Zab and shame on Zab for losing but the truth came out that night and the truth was that Zab is a front runner and he has a glass jaw.

For a fighter w/ no power he sure as hell threw some bombs at Zab and as fast as people claim Zab to be he shouldve ducked them and he shouldn't have shown hurt in the 7th where he almost was stopped.

I read that he's going to fight Mayorga if and when he gets past Gomez ... totally different direction than Mayweather is going. I'd say a step back or he's going opposite of Money Mayweather town in the fork in the road.

Too bad we won't see Cintron-Cotto if Cintron beats Margo.

Trainers keep keep their fighters on track and makes them take the neccessary risks that is need to win in a title fight.
If the trainer isn't confident - then the fighter wouldn't be confident.

I tell you this Evangelista won't hestitate to throw in that towel once he sees that Cotto isn't doing good, taking too much punishment, because he's going to be nervous and in an unusual place.

Evangelista won't be in the ring, but he does control who Cotto fights.

I can agree with that. But would you say that Cotto is a pressure fighter? We have all seen how pressure fighters have done against PBF. For those don't follow, they haven't had enough success to get rid of that '0'.

Cotto has never looked across the ring at an opponent who has credentials and who like himself is an undefeated champion. Just like Hatton --

Once he sees Floyd physically across from him and he hears Buffer say 5 division champion, former jr. lightweight, lightweight, super lightweight, and super welterweight ... the reigning and defending Welterweight Champion -- its going to start to sink in. Also once he sees that Floyd is looking scared of him he will then realize that this is forreal and this isn't me watching from the audience or watching tape, this is him and I have to fight him.

He knows that Floyd is better than anyone he's faced ...

While Floyd knows that Cotto is just another fighter challenging for his p4p title and he's seen that style that Cotto possess before.

Cotto will lose and lose badly

    TKO on cuts
    or
    TKO from too much punishment
    or
    TKO corner throws in towel
    or
KO not getting up from 10 count
    or
KO from getting knocked out - and don't think he can't knock out Cotto he's been too close to getting knocked out and just like Tito he will finally get KO'd.

Everyone brings up Castillo 1 like if it means something. That was awhile ago. Obviously Mayweather learned from that, and became better.

Also, add in the fact that Cotto's defense is **** and 3 fighters have landed 50%+ of power punches on him. Add Mayweather in the fact, he might lad 75%+.

    Hell yeah

Cotto is faster and a helluva better boxer and in alot better shape.

He'll make contact with Floyd but you can't honestly say that Floyd is going to let Cotto get close enough to be effective.

I actually see Cotto getting floored from a leaping left hook --

but he lacks the skill, the conditioning, and the experience to beat someone the caliber of a Floyd Mayweather.

Suspect power (in one hand) and heart isn't enough -- it just isn't

Cotto is smart because doesn't throw unneccessary punches and he's very compact -- very discipline, but he doesn't have a right hand and his money punch has always been that left hook (upstair or downstairs) and the jab and with a fighter like Floyd - he can neutralize that. He also has shown that he has no DEFENSE FOR THE RIGHT HAND --

A bigger, fast, JLC but not doesn't have a right hand like him and doesn't have the chin like him -- JLC also had the experience being the main sparring partner of JCC and learned alot from that great fighter.

Cotto's not the best fighter Floyd has faced but media and fans alike are running out of options for this guy. He as of now is the best contender in the welterweight division.

when was the last time cotto leaped in with any punch?

and how could you say he lacks skill? he could probably outbox everyone at 147 except mayweather, he always works behind his jab.

suspect power a lack of heart? please tell me your joking either that or you are just a hater, cotto floored judah with the right hand, the punch that cotto landed most on mosley (except for the jab) was the right hand, he is extremely accurate with his right hand.

i'm not even going to argue with the 'lack of heart' opinion that is just foolish.
