So more or less Chavez from the first Taylor fight.

Good fight but I like the chances of JCC catching Manny down the track at this stage.

Id like to see how Manny continues at these higher weights for a little big longer.

I am leaning slightly in favor of JCC since he fought his career at a heavier weight class than Pac has been at (until this year for Pac).

Either Pac wears JCC down over the first half of the fight and then hangs on for victory, or JCC starts to impose his will during the second half of the fight and takes it.

Well, this is 2 years after Taylor... so not exactly. This is not a blow away at all. It is like a meaner, smarter, more savage version of Taylor 1.5-2 years later. (Is that Ayn Rand above?)

I love Manny but Chavez was a brutal body puncher. I think he takes Manny out it ten rounds.

Hmm but pacman's body is strong at higher weight class(super bantamweight to present), doing 2,500 sit ups a day during training. Pacquiao even allows his bigger opponent(and sparmate)to punch him in the body.
and add to that, pacman is elusive if he wants to.

    This is an intriguing fight.

Pacs too fast for the legend. Pac is stronger than Meldrick and about the same at speed. It hurts to say but Pac by UD. No knockdowns though Chavez chin would hold up.

Abso****inglutely no way he lets JCC hit him to the body though, would be suicide.

It is an interesting fight...at this stage JCC better work against the better fighters at these weights gives him a clear edge.
Thats why I want to see a bit more of Manny first at these weights, his body is filling out very very well into these divisions and his handspeed still remains.

Folks, Manny could hardly get by an INFERIOR and FEATHERWEIGHT version of Chavez, why are these threads even made?

Not really. Using the Marquez fights as a gauge, I had Pac beating Marquez the first time round, and the second time round I had it a draw.

Pac has definitely improved his boxing ability, but a lot of what makes him so great as a fighter is his raw speed and strength. That definitely hasn't improved in a p4p sense.

So to clarify I think Pac has improved as a boxer, not as a fighter.
