10-0 (7) Marco Antonio Periban vs. 10-0 (6) Dion Savage Jr.

    Round 1

DAMN!! :scaredas: Savage is KTFO in the first fifteen seconds by a left hook/right hand combo to the face!!!

He clambers up awkwardly and jelly-legs his way into the corner, turning his back to the referee. He is then surprised when the count is abandoned and the fight waved off and goes to sit dejectedly on his stool.

That right hand was a BOMB!

    Round 1

Garcia swats with a hook. Figueroa circles out with his gloves up and tries a few overhand shots at the oncoming Garcia, who mostly goes to the body on his way in (and has a high hook sweep the top of the ducking Figueroa's head). Garcia follows without any urgency. Figueroa jabs high and then shrinks away from a counter jab. Garcia starts throwing quick combos over the lone jabs of Figueroa. Left hook to the body by Garcia from outside. Garcia now lines up a right hand. Four punch combo while backing up by Garcia. Figueroa throws a high right hand and is countered with one. Garcia is throwing three and four punch combos and finishing with the left hook to the body every time. Figueroa finally lands a good quick right hand to the face just at the bell.

    10-9 Garcia

    Round 2

Garcia is turning his wrists up and just karate-chopping at Figueroa in quick, flashy combos. He gets him lined up perfectly for a suddenly well-turned over left hook and down goes Figueroa (held up by the ropes). Garcia throws several more corkscrew shots at him, several landing hard on the body and the rest crashing through the gloves as Figueroa tries time a counter right hand.

Figueroa's knees dip as he takes heavy fire and he nearly touches the canvas, and it's over!

The crowd boos at the relative lack of action during the three minutes and change that the fight lasted, with Garcia climbing the turnbuckle and shrugging apologetically.

Yeah...it's unclear what he was supposed to learn from Figueroa. Maybe he was just supposed to log some rounds against a negative guy to keep fresh and offensively sharp, since Figueroa had only been stopped once before?

Undefeated featherweight Pablo Armenta looks for his fifth win against Alejandro Cruz, who is 3-12-2.

    Round 1

Armenta seems to be stunning Cruz with his jabs, and doesn't even need to mix in many power punches to back him up. Cruz is getting into orbit and flicking his hands out but seems to be losing his balance on his own without Armenta even touching him. Armenta lands a nice short hook while turning Cruz and then lays on a couple more straight shots in combination. Cruz is nailed against the ropes and starts using his feet to evade. The ref checks a small cut on Cruz caused by a headbutt. Cruz flurries to the body.

    10-9 Armenta

    Round 2

Armenta spears Cruz into the corner with jabs and right hands. Cruz tries to ricochet out but keeps getting nailed with hard accurate shots. Cruz stays out behind a jab after digging in to the body on the inside. Armenta lures him in with a decrease in activity and Cruz jumps in to clinch. Armenta then drifts into the corner and greets Cruz wading in with a hard uppercut. Armenta then bombs his way out into the middle of the ring and pushes Cruz up against the ropes momentarily. Armenta chases with his jab and ducks a wild lead right, going to the body as Cruz runs past him out of position and off balance. Armenta whips him with right hands to the body and head. Cruz jabbing but getting deflected.

    20-18 PA

    Round 3

Cruz is fighting back spiritedly, hooking with Armenta on the inside but is clearly giving up some strength here. Cruz is warned for a low blow. Armenta throws some fat punches to the sides, and seems to have lost a bit of steam. Cruz pushes his head down and hooks at him before springing back. Armenta follows with a right to the stomach and then brings it up over the top. Cruz is harassed to the ropes and pulls Armenta into a clinch. Cruz jabs and gets countered with a hard right hand to the side of the head, shaking his hair. Cruz leads with his own right and pushes it through to land successfully on his way into a clinch. Armenta throws a lazy 1-2 that gets Cruz to open up and then lands a hard hook flush on the cheek. Armenta keeps punching to the bell.

Armenta probably won that round on activity alone (although someone giving it to Cruz wouldn't be too easy to argue with) but isn't looking as good as in the first two.
