You won the first round easy. You were right to go after him with the flurry after he dropped both of his hands to backpeddle, just don't lunge, because when you hit the ropes, it seemed like you lost your footwork and he could have just as easily reversed the situation on you instead of backing out. In the second round his shoulder was dislocated from the extended twisting hook motion that seemed simultaneous with you hitting him (legit win). Overall good job, he was not the better fighter, you were, and it was a well deserved win. Celebrate. :good
4 lbs. Actually I was heavier during the weigh in. I weighed in at 180 and he weighed in at 176. The weigh in was the day before the fight Did he look bigger than me?
As I said, tournaments such as this are not funded by the amateur boxing commission here. They dont waste their time on students like us.
"He took the centre of the ring apart from that all he did was pop his shoulder" Im not sure if you werent quiet sure what Joe meant, so, I think he means.. he took the centre of the ring, apart from that all did was pop his shoulder. In case you werent sure what holding the centre of the rings means.. It means he kept you closer to ropes.. and made you work your way into him. Its often agiven that the taller fighter will be able to control centre ring with the longer jab if its effective.
