I'm not sure what everyone else thinks but I though the 1st half of the year wasnt great. Not to say we didnt have some entertaining fights like Cotto-Gomez or Jones-Trinidad Vasquez-Marquez 3. But the 2nd half of the year is going to be exciting in most weight divisions with fights such as:

    Cotto vs Margarito
    Tarver Vs Dawson
    Jones vs Calzaghe
Pacquio vs To still be named
    Hatton vs Malinaggi

not to mention a possible De La Hoya vs Cotto and many more--Hell ima love to see Mosley knock out Mayorga or box circles around him

Whats your thoughts on the 1st half of 2008 and 2nd half of 2008 compared to the full year of 2007?

Cotto Margarito will blow out any chance of excitement the rest of those fights may end up having, Actually they are billing this as the fight of the decade and look at what I think of when they say that.
    Ward Augustus
    Ward Gatti
    Corrales Castillo
    Marquez Vazquez

if this does end up being the fight of the decade after all of that violence, I could live the rest of my days and never need to see a fight again:thumbsup

I kind of agree, but I think the welterweight division is the deepest and most talented division right now.

2008 is good all around, I wouldn't say the second half is better.

the fights at 135 alone will be enough to carry the year. adding a cotto-margarito is just icing on the cake

It will be hard for any fight to ever live up to Corrales to Castillo 1...In my opinion Corrales vs Castillo 1 is top 3 of all time! Everyone here who is a die hard boxing fan has probably watched fights from back in the 30s 40s and 50s...maybe even earlier...but that is the greatest fight i've ever seen.....cotto margarito wil be in the same league I HOPE!!!
