Pryor UD 9-6 - similar styles in some ways bu Aaron is more intense, faster and stronger at the weight

The Hawk would be the bigger and busier man in there but Chavez had a good defence which would negate much of Pryor´s offence. I go with Chavez by a hard fought decision 8 rounds to 7 with Pryor complaining about beeing robbed, possibly a MD.

    Chavez MD15 Pryor

I like Chavez by UD. I see his tighter form boding well in exchanges and think his vaunted body attack would slow even The Hawk in the later rounds. Certainly enough to allow him a decision victory. Pryor doesn't have the power needed to take out the iron chinned Chavez and odds are Pryor would last as well.

Chavez WPTS, sealing the deal with a 15th round KD. The fight would be perfectly poised around 8 or 9 rounds in with Chavez taking the reigns down the straight and bashing Pryor up a bit.

Close but clear decision for Chavez.

I think Pryor would win this one, if i was pushed to say who was the better man at this weight it would be him. Also, i think that a Pryor has a good style here, although Chavez will undoubtedly find his mark throughout the course, the angles up close that Pryor presents mean good for him aswell. Will most definitely be a classic, they will leave it all in the ring.

    Pryor.

Maybe its against all reason but Ive gotta go with Pryor here in a close one. I think Chavez was less destructive at jnr welter then he was at 130-135 and if its a physical fight, there is very few who match Pryor at this weight.

Chavez is technically more proficient in many ways but I think the Hawk just jumps him with his strength and power, and despite a late surge from Chavez holds on to bag the win.

I cant help but think how hard Pryor did it against Arguello but I just feel he can take this one and Im going to stick with that.

Pryor has the unorthodoxy, power, speed, and workrate to befuddle Chavez at times and generally get the better of the exchanges, which would give him the edge IMO. Chavez's body punching could be a problem if he invests in it early, otherwise Pryor by UD.

Although I think Chavez was the greater fighter, I think Pryor was greater at this weight. I don't see Chavez hitting Pryor and harder or more frequently than Arguello did. I think it would be a great fight but Pryor would do enough work from the outside to make the difference. Pryor UD 15.

I think this would be a very close fight. Both fighters dishing out punishment. Arguello pushed Pryor to the brink, but he neglected to effectivly slow Pryor by going to the body. A steady body attack would pay huge dividende late in the fight, where Chavez would switch to the head. Pryor would most certianly be leading after 12. But going to 15 Chavez would sneak by with a attack of the body and head. Pryor was more of a head hunter & Chavez should be the fresher or the two toward the end.

Pryor would take an early lead but Chavez starts to bring it back and his body attacks show as Aaron would slow down in the end and Chavez would win a close decision.

Pryor starts strong, taking advantage of Chavez' customary slow starts and his own energy to win the first couple of rounds, and at first his pace makes Chavez struggle to make his punches count against Pryor's barrage.

As soon as Pryor starts slowing down, Chavez begins to invest in his trademark body work, and Pryor continues to slow down. By the end of the fight both guys are hurt and tired, but Chavez' body work has let him swing the middle and late rounds solidly in his favor, and picks up the decision victory.

This was the tightest one for me since I have these two next to each other in my top ten. Although I've always been a big fan of Chavez, I would go with Pryor who is more versatile. Pryor W15 Chavez.
