    15 rounds. Who takes it.

p.s. Sorry for delaying the tournament for so long. Haven't had much inspiration for it lately. Will motor through it now though.

Wilfred's greater size and reach give him the advantage here, but Ross' jab will be an issue the whole fight through. Ross will use it to good offensive and defensive effect and keep Wilfred from trying to overpower him.

Ultimately I think Benitez will be a little too sharp for Ross though. Expect a bout that will be competitive the whole way through, but with Benitez doing enough to get the win.

Benitez by about 2 or 3 points.

Much as Barney is a firm fave of mine, I think Benitez might just take a narrow decision in this one. A tough one stylistically for Barney to overcome and I think on best nights he'd fall just short. Very competitive match.

Across 15 rounds Benitez, by 9-6.

Agreed, stylistically this is bad for Ross. He'd be outgunned by the Benitez jab and combos and would be constantly trying to infight, where he would do well. Ross was versatile enough to box the punchers and punch the boxers, not unlike Canzoneri, but Benitez would have none of the infighting and keep Ross at a safe distance to take a comfortable 15 round decision. Benitez W15 Ross.

I really like Barney, cant give him this one though, will be a chessmatch at times, Ross may have some success but Beniitez' speed serves him well there, Ross will also be forced to the agressor role i feel where he might do better than expected against this great counterpuncher, but he'll come up just short on the cards.

Benitez was a fine boxing machine at 140lbs, I think he edges Ross in most aspects of the game at the weight.

    Benitez WU15 (9-6)

Benitez H2H at the weight is one of the top tier fighters...not many could deal with him I imagine.

Great fight though..Benitez takes a pretty clear decision, not wide but not debatable...I dont know if my bias for Benitez (seeing as I have see a lot more of him compared to Ross) is clouding my judgement but if the other opinions in this thread are anything to go by then I think Im choosing the right man.

Benitez. His style and size give him the win. Close decison.
