We're probably dummies to try and pick a winner here - who knows? I'm tempted to pick Williams to win on cuts but that would be a bit of cop out, so I'll pick Williams by a decision. Let's say he's busy enough and hitting hard enough to find sympathy with the judges in a fight that could be scored either way.

Locche frustrates Williams and wins a narrow 15 round decision.

The outcome of this strongly depends where the fight happens. In the US the defence style of Locche wouldn´t be as appreciated than in his homeland Argentine. On neutral ground, say Europe, I favour Locche slightly based on ring generalship and defence.

    Locche UD15 Williams

Very hard to say, can Locche keep it up against this demon? I think he can, he's achieved similar feats, not quite this formidable a puncher imo though. Locche for me is not the type of wizard that offsets a fighters workrate or style, more that he lets a guy do what they want and just simply does his thing better, breaking ther hart. I think Williams will come on late, but it could be too little too late, this can be either way, but i;ll pick Williams.

Like the Canzoneri bout, i think i may have the wrong man here, i could still feel the same way if i went down the alternative route though probably.

I think Im really out of depth commenting on this one.

So Im going with Williams via decision....because a coin told me so.

It so much harder this round. Even though I didnt pick in that last one, there were some easier matchups to discuss.

The only one I have felt confident on is Napoles-Taylor.

I'm going Loche as well. I think he just frustrates the style of Williams and has the jaw to handle it when Williams does connect. Loche W15 Williams.

This is an important fight - right? So both fighters are going to be in peak condition, but this is especially important in Williams' case because when focused he left little room for second best.

Locche is definitely going to frustrate Williams (who I'd expect to box similarly to how he did in the second Bolanos fight - composed stalker, but this time with more urgency) and he's going to catch him with all sorts. But what has he really got to stave off a fighter of this intensity? Carlos Ortiz was an underrated hitter but he was a steady performer rather than explosive finisher. Williams was both rolled into one. I'll tell you what it is, it's his speed and agility on the front foot that wins this fight, combined with an overlooked toughness and determination that would keep Locche on the back foot or forty three of the forty five minutes in the fight. Williams would be able to catch Locche more regularly than most and unless the judges are corrupt, they'll recognise that each shot counts for loads.

Locche was dazzling but this is like a marathon runner (who smokes) with a handgun trying to outmanoeuvre a tank at close range. He'll get run over eventually though.

    My vote goes to Williams.
Locche is amazing defensively, but Williams would press the action, his blows are more compact than Cervantes' longer blows, and I don't thiink he would respect Locche.
    Williams UD IMO.

It really depends where the fight is.

On neutral ground, I see Locche hitting the target more and being more comfortable at the weight giving him the edge in a painfully close match up.

    Locche WS15 (8-7)

Utlimately, Williams' speed and punching technique mean that he's gonna get some shots through, even against a slickster like Locce, and his power means that those shots will be made to count.

Locce, of course, will land his share of sharp left hooks, and make Williams miss as much in this fight as he ever did in his career, but in the end, aggression carries the day, and Williams uses it to take the decision on two of the judges scorecards.

It's hard to envision a fighter as stationary as Locche staying in Williams midsts all night and escaping with the win.

No doubt Locche will make him look stupid frequently, but Williams won't be put off by being outboxed here and there, he's seen enough of that to keep his head and stick to doing what he does best.

Williams won't land many out and out clean shots, but he will be partially landing a lot of shots, and will probably outdo the work that comes back from Locche in between, even if it will be a little cleaner.

I'll say 9-6 Williams. Close but clear.

I've probably called it differently in the past, I vaguely remember doing so, but today, it's Williams for me.
