Will need some time to think about this one, but my initial thought is a draw...

I feel Angott would be outboxed, outjabbed and outpunched all the way. However, Sammy knew how to make an ugly fight and actually thrived on mauling on the inside. But I see Carlos making that distasteful for Sammy as well, as he was very strong on the inside also. Ortiz W15 Angott comfortably.

I see a bout that wont be spectacular, but hotly contested. I just think Ortiz will be the better man down the stretch in most departments and that will get him a decision, he'll do the better part of the boxing and on the inside gets good bodywork in that helps his cause also.

I wonder about this... This is where footage of Ortiz vs. Loi would come in handy. Ortiz usually coped quite well on the inside because he was usually the stronger fighter on the inside. But what would happen when he gets matched for strength on the inside?

I'm guessing a large part of the Loi-Ortiz fights were conducted on the inside and it would have been fascinating to see how Ortiz coped with Loi in that respect.

Might have given us an insight into this fight. The outcome on the inside is crucial to the outcome of Ortiz-Angott as I see it.

One of the toughest fights to consider in the tourney. Angott was one of my darkhorses (Randall was the other one) in this thing. I've only seen two films of Angott against SRR and Fritzie Zivic...Havn't seen the Slugger White footage.
IMO it would be entirely possible for Angott's strength and activity to make things very close against Ortiz...
    I still think Ortiz though...

The Slugger White footage is the clearest footage by far available on him. Worth seeing for sure. The Robinson and Zivic fights are a little too far away formt he action and too blurry.
