3/30/13 Alvarado - Rios II

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Flyers2001, Jan 17, 2013.

  1. Couldn't have said it any better myself.

With so many possibilities out there for both they decide to waste another half a year. Horrible for them and for us fans too.

This first fight was hard fought and brutal, but it was definitely not an exciting fight in my eyes. I found it kind of boring. I hope these guys don't ruin each other. They both took tons of shots in the first one.

No real fight of the year canidates are meaningless when it comes to rematches. I don't think it was stopped early, but i can see the argument.

Boxers make their money by entertaining and this fight will be that.

Brandon needs to talk to his papi Big Bobby.

GL: Who will Bradley be fighting?

BA: "I can't say. But Rios and Alvarado will fight on March 30 at Mandalay Bay."

Arum will keep making these recycled fights cause the best 140lbs are with GBP. TR forever alone.

If Alvarado isn't mentally defeated, he should win fight 2. If he sticks to mostly boxing he can dominate trashcan rios

  9. You jabronies shitting on this fight must have missed the first one... or you are blind ... or you are ******ed...

    It's one of those.

It would be meaningless if the first fight wasn't so great so one that one level its not meaningless but you are right though.

Both these guys should be moving on and fighting other fighters the division is ****ing stacked!!!!!!!!! This is nothing but Arum covering his ass. If Pac beat Marquez we all know Rios would be fighting him but since Bob can't make that fight anymore this is HIS next best option. Sadly the rest of the boxing world suffers.

Rios doesn't have that many option at 140lbs as GBP mainly owns that division. So its either Alvarado II, Bradley @140 or Pac @147 :rofl. Good options, don't get me wrong, but I don't see Rios beating Bradley or Pac. After Rios vs Alvardo II we might see Rios vs Alvarado III & IV & V ala Marquez vs Pac :nut.

As for the fight I think Rios takes it again.

Good step up in competition for Rios. This is exactly the kind of skilled opponent he needs to beat to demonstrate the Abril fight was an aberration and prove he should be ranked alongside the elite at 140 and 147.
