    1) Morales won the fight. He landed the cleaner shots, even when on the ropes. Diaz gets points on aggression, but did he really win SEVEN ROUNDS? Hell no.

    2) Caballero got a gift. Lacierva bullied him all around the ring. And the scorecards? SIX POINTS on one of the margins? That means that one judge had it 8-3-1 for Caballero with one point taken away from Lacierva for headbutting. THREE ROUNDS FOR LACIERVA??? Bull****!!!

    3) And the stoppage was slightly premature. Marquez was staggered and hurt, but he still was trading punches.

The worst night of officiating/judging over two different scorecards I've ever seen.

I agree completely. I thought, gee, those three scores are very close for Morales. I thought he won more rounds ... then they said "Still" and I was like son of a *****. Then we laughed and laughed at the incompetent Caballero who won maybe the last three rounds and we joked about how he was the most incompetent jackass we had ever seen. Then he won a UD. One point taken from the smaller man but his tall ass fouled all night long and got five warnings. Cole sucks.

At least Marquez was hurt. But I agree, a terrible night for officiating and the title of your post is perfect to describe it. Especially in that caballero fight, that guy sucks.

Didnt see the first one....so I cant call it.

The Caballero fight was one of the ugliest, dirtiest fights Ive seen in recent memory. I think the judging on it was also atrocious, but I feel the right man won (just not by the margin that two of the judges had it...I had it 115-112).

Now to the last thing...the stoppage was a tad early, but watch it again (I already have 3 times....I LOVE YOU TIVO!!!)...After Izzy hits him with that last straight right, Marquez's eyes glaze over and he looks out on his feet. Doesnt matter if he was just throwing right before that....he was OUT! I think it couldve went a few more punches....but that was just stalling the inevitable. He was DONE.

Great fight tho...and round three...what can I say that hasnt been said already about it????

I cant wait for the third one....:happy

I could see Caballero earning a draw or even edging by 1 point because of the one Cole docked from Lacierva, but Caballero winning by SIX POINTS???

Round 3 of RM-IV is easily round of the year.

You must have missed the card back in March when Demetrius Hopkins beat Steve Forbes and Daniel Ponce De Leon beat Gerry Penalosa in decision wins that were much more questionable than the Cabellero/Lacierva bout. I can't speak to the Morales/Diaz fight, because I didn't see that one.

I saw that card too. I was just talking about bad judging on two cards in two different venues televised on the same night.

And the Forbes-Hopkins one was terrible!!! At least De Leon edged Penalosa and won big on paper. Forbes beat Hopkins and after hearing the cards, he probably was better off not stepping in the ring in the first place.

The scoring was maniacal, b/c morales blocked a lot of punches but he got hit too much. Morales landed most of the effective punches but Diaz caught him a lot. Very hard fight to score. B/c Morales would win the first minute then the second minute would be even and the third minute Diaz rallied. Hard ass fight to score. But a draw and I would of been ok or Either by a split one point or something.
