3 chuvalo fights that never happened

    Hi Jake; I've often wondered why Chuvalo, and even Cleroux, were never a part of the British Commonwealth Title picture. I'm talking about the Cooper, Erskine, Bygraves, etc... title scraps in the late 50's - 60's. Why weren't George or Bob ever a part of any of these title fights?
    Anyone?

    chuvalo did fight and beat joe bygraves,and lost by disq. to erskine from head butting i hear.cooper's manager said henry would never fight a mauler like george or liston his body was to frail.although chuvalo was always 1 of the top contenders for a commonweath title shot, he never got 1.i've heard chuvalo say that the canadian boxing board had no balls to force such a fight so he always lost out.you know Jowcol he'd have walked through cooper.even later in his career jack bodell wouldn't fight him either.lol

    jowcol,do you have any imformation on the Chuvalo vs. Erskine fight??
