Brit ESB prides itself as being superior to the general forum, but the way the Froch apologists are behaving here leaves me in NO DOUBT that this place is just a haven for brit fighter nuthuggers, & not a place for open honest debate anymore.

Firstly, I think Dirrell won the fight. Secondly, since the fight happened there have been countless amounts of threads about it on the 1st page where debates have been made - what the **** is the point in going over it all again just for you Dunky (no offense) because you didn't debate about it first time around?

 

jeez,I havent seen this in a while but every time I watch this clip I think it has to go down as one of the worst stoppages in history.

What was the fight ending punch that the ref seen? Please tell me. & dont give me the bull**** that Manfredo was in any trouble, cos its plain to see he was rolling with the slaps(sorry, punches)

Oh & may I just add, since the fight I have made less than 10 posts about the fight. So to label me as the 'guy thats keeping in going' is pretty lame.

Just cos Im backing up the posters that were outraged at Froch getting the decision, please dont make me the Froch hating poster boy for the nuthuggers to take out their hate on.

Dunky! Don't want to fall out with you again mate, but there have been **** loads of threads on this subject. I'm happy to keep discussing it but it's natural that the initial furore will die. I scored 115-112 for Dirrell and I have my exact scored scard here if you're interested.

 

Theres really no need for your one-man Brit ESB Caped Crusader, the-man-they-couldn't-silence fight for justice over Dirrell. I'm honestly not "sweeping", although I am getting tired of all the threads over on the GF, theres been much worse decisions than this one, it was just a tricky fight to score.

I'm not on that bandwagon either, I agree with you, its on 3 wheels and the back axel is ****ed. One pitstop in Copenhagen and theres no way it'll pass its next MOT, another stop in Berlin and it'll be off to the scrappy.

I had Dirrell winning by 2 rounds. However I don't have too much sympathy for him as he (and his team) should have known that its going to be VERY hard to win a title away from home fighting the way he did.

Dirrell should have put a bit more effort the early rounds and swept the first 4 or 5 beyond any doubt like he looked like he was capable of. Instead he gave the judges a reason (an excuse?) to score for the hometown, aggressive fighter and a lot of judges don't need asking twice in that situation.

The fight was in his hands and his current predicament is at least partially self-inflicted, hence its been put in my "never mind eh?" file with Calzaghe-Manfredo. (Its not just a "Brit thing" either, Cotto getting away with fouling and squeaking a points win over a negative, whinging Clottey is also in that file)

When Dirrell fakes a fight, he holds on for dear life, runs like Hell, falls down on canvas, and complains to referee!

 

I scored it for Dirrell but there were way too many tricky low action rounds to score for anyone to be up in arms about it.

Different people saw the fight in different ways. Two of the judges saw it for Carl.

Just because you didn't Dunky, doesn't mean it was wrong. Happen you were wrong, perish the thought.
