    1) kimbo slice... i dont really want to see kimbo here anymore, hes a freakshow, james toney ko rnd 1 if kimbo trades

    2) randy couture.... i dont want to see an overweight lazy boxer in the ufc anymore than kimbo, hes also a freakshow... randy couture, tko rnd 1 via GNP

    3) who cares... he probably wont want to fight anymore after being shown up by the natural

There is too much interest in Toney for the UFC to get him beat in his 1st/2nd fight.

thing is, what if he comes in, wins 3 fights, then another yr down the line, looses... people are just going to say he lost cause he's past it

mma needs a big win over a boxer to gain back some respect after that pathetic sloath got knocked out by mercer

  4. If Kimbo had the oppurtunity to fight Toney that'd **** me off. There no way some thug off the streets should have the honor of fighting 2 great boxers.

I do agree, and that match up would be such a pointless win for either of them, especially toney... what would he gain out of beating someone like kimbo... waste of a fight imo... but, unfortunately, 1 i think we're going to see

Well, he beat the first one easily and "honor" means a lot less than "capable of beating".

Toney has been able to fight out of his optimal weight class for years because of his boxing style and the fact that in general pure physical strength isn't a huge advantage in a boxing match. In MMA Toney's optimal weight would probably be at 185 (which he'll never make again). Even if he fights someone as limited as Kimbo he's going to be taken down and totally overpowered and owned on the ground. I predict that this will happen with pretty much anyone currently in the ufc, so if they really want Toney to get a win then they're going to have to bring in someone with very little grappling background and very little mma experience.

Physical Strength can be negated more easliy in boxing due to the fact you can punch and move and clinching is not allowed.

Kimbo makes sense because he is a striker but Kimbo against Mercer went straight to the ground. I'd be suprised if he didn't do the same again. Couture is a good call. If Toney gets good enough he can nail Couture and dirty box him back. Couture is there for the taking against a sharpshooter. Couture is slow now.

Dirty box him back?!?! Couture wouldn't be dirty boxing him, since that would assume that he would be clinching with him against the cage.. that just won't happen. Couture would take him down immediately and destroy him. Of course, he could land a lucky shot on the old man's chin when he's shooting in, but I just can't see that happening.
